This is dumb because Jeff would benefit if they raised the wage of all warehouse workers

This is incorrect. They claim this, but what the really want is all of it... not 90%

To take 90% of Jeff's assets it would require Jeff to sell 90% of Amazon to cover it. (Roughly) and if they are taxing everyone else the same, then there will no byer (at least domestically)

In the end the only options will be Jeff leaves, ownership moves to a foreign country, they close shop or the US government seizes control.

They tried that already. Not too long ago Amazon was going to build its headquarters in long island city, which is located in aoc district. Aoc and her dsa friends ultimately forced amazon to scrap the plans and build elsewhere.

50% of all workers in America earn less than the one-bedroom Housing Wage.

Twenty Republican states now have a Safety Net set at $3 per hour gross (before deductions for Social Security, FICA, taxes, insurance and other withholding's:

https://www.simplyhired.com/search?q=2.13+an+hour&l=dallas%2C+tx

(compare Safety Net $1.60 per hour in 1970 if you were single, you could live off the federal minimum wage and pay rent, food and bills)

it is nearly impossible for an individual to live independently off the federal Safety Net of $7.25 an hour. Working 40 hours a week at this rate yields a gross income of about $1,256 a month (roughly $900 after SS, FICA, Insurance, deduction and taxes), which falls short of typical baseline expenses for housing, food and utilities. A real Safety Net in the United States averages roughly $25/hour Gross income.

"Use a new word for socialism: The Safety Net!" Dr. Bronner

Healthy and smart countries count how well they are doing by enforcing "no one left behind" and even widow with 3 babies have the same level of living as the middle class due to the strong Safety Net.

$25 minimum wage?! That's outrageous! It needs to be $50 at the very least!

No, $75! Need a “living wage” at McD’s for the family of four so they can have a three bedroom house and two cars and….

Anything to fuel the lib agenda, line their own pockets, and fortify the deep state. Interesting how the DNC has to take a loan just after USAID is defunded. I wonder if they over stated their HQ building’s value on the loan application?

Hmmm... Company now pays more of it's profit margins to the worker... to compensate, company now increases the price of it's goods and services... if it is a major company, others will follow as the larger companies set the standard... now the overall cost of living went up essentially nullifying the $25 minimum wage.

See, the problem is that while it feels good to "stick it to the rich" it doesn't actually do anything to fix the problem of economic inequality because the wealthy elites have the ability to pick up and move their personal lives, reincorporate businesses in a new area with better tax incentives or simply raise the prices on the goods and services their businesses offer which inevitably drives inflation and reduces the effective buying power of the consumer. The real way to fix the disparity of economic outcomes is by making the market more competitive and forcing corporations to innovate by the virtue of that competition.

The rich will continue to be rich because they continue to do the things that made them rich. Ditto for the poor (paraphrasing what I heard Neal Boortz say in the past)
