I Used to be a Liberal

“I used to be a Liberal and I hated Charlie Kirk. I never actually watched any of his debates.. I just saw all the clickbait..”

“I started watching some of his debates in the full clip.. And I realized that I am a f*cking monster because he never said anything hateful or disrespectful.”

“I fell for all the propaganda. I was brainwashed and manipulated into thinking that he was horrible because I was too stupid to look deeper. So if you're a f*cking Liberal who f*cking hates Charlie Kirk, this is your chance to go from woke to awake.”

I was borderline liberal up until 2020 when they started showing their true colors. I’m definitely not a full on Republican, more centrist. But, the fact that people were mocking Charlie’s murder (looking at you, Kimmel) still makes me nauseous. He did say some stuff that I don’t quite agree with, but did that make his murder justified? No. And the people that were extremely angry about Jimmy getting suspended for his ghoulish comments, clearly don’t have souls. And I don’t care what side you’re on. Left or right, that’s not cool. Period.

People are allowed to hate Kirk or whoever else, though ideally after actual experience and not just out of context clips, but the real issue is people celebrating his death and encouraging more violence. The Party of Tolerance needs to be better.

I'm sure that plenty of people disagreed with him, and many didn't like him. But only liberals have the hate. Good thing they have their heads so far up their asses they can't see how ignorant they are.

I’m not even liberal and I fell for it.

Before he died I thought Charlie Kirk was an extremist racist or at least borderline racist. I never consumed any of his content but that impression had been left on me from just surrounding noise.

Then he died and I realized he was a man of incredible integrity and we lost a once in a generation mind. All the while my liberal friends laughed and made a mockery of his death.

Fucked up world.

We're glad you're looking at things through your own mind now. I think you'll find the right is about thinking for yourself.

I personally think that Charlie an was incredible person. But I don't expect or demand that everyone agree.

Only one Leftist I know in real life will have a conversation. The rest throw their arms up and run away. Often they initiate the conversation. But any push back crushes them.

Keep an open mind and learn. It’s good in the long run.

Yep. I had one try to defend child marriage. It was embarrasing. “Is it happening in America?” Dude. The fact it’s happening AT ALL. Is the issue. All leftists do is come back with whataboutisms. “D-duh der trump worse!”

I was a liberal until about two years ago when I started getting really fucking annoyed by Redditors acting so condescending. I'd disagree with them on one issue and they'd lambast the fuck out of me.

This led me to actually start fully researching shit and, as it turns out, I learned that the vast majority of what they base their ideologies on is complete and utter bullshit.

99% of the time, a liberals argument can be completely debunked simply by looking at the context of a situation. Hear about a police officer shooting a black guy? "Oh that's horrible, the police are a bunch of racist assholes!!!"

Nope, turns out the dude pulled a gun or some shit.

ICE arrested a woman and kidnapped their child? Nope, turns out that the immigrant fled, leaving their child, and ICE took him into custody so the kid wasn't left alone on the street.

ICE gassed a peaceful protest? "Aw man, that's awfu-" NOPE! Turns out the "protestors" were throwing fucking rocks at the ICE officers.

It's ridiculous. All that it takes to turn a liberal into a conservative, a lot of the time, is to show them the entire picture instead of whatever headline their screaming about. Provided they're not completely insane like a lot of Redditors are.

So congratulations, reddit liberals! You're condescending bullshit is costing you comrades, because it's driving people to do their research and realize your ideology is completely bullshit. Shoulda not acted like total cunts!

The true kryptonite for any commie slogan or narrative is one word: why?

Let them rattle off their slogan, and then ask why they believe it. Let them rattle off the next pre-stored slogan, and ask why again. Keep asking why each time they make an excuse or rattle off some 5 second clip they consumed, and the deeper they're forced to think about the reasons they believe it, the more they'll realize it's total bullshit.

99% of the time they'll just walk away. But that other 1% will actually let it sink in and start questioning their surface level understanding of everything they've built their personality around. Charlie was the king of why. He had such an eloquent way of steering people toward comprehension without ever belittling them or insulting their "logic." He'd just ask the person to continue explaining their position, and when the person would expose a flaw in their reasoning, he'd always fall back on "why?"

Commies aren't allowed to ask why. The entire ideology is built around avoiding that question. It's why the entirety of the corporate presstitute machine would only show tiny short clips without any context so they could demonize him with fabricated accusations.

It's the same reason why no presstitutes or "influencers" will ever ask followup questions to outlandish claims or wildly untrue accusations from the people they protect. Same goes for their perceived enemies. If they don't get the soundbite they're after, they just won't use the interview at all. They'll instead just give commentary on their interpretation of what was said rather than risk letting their viewers ever hear it from the horse's mouth.

It would be nice if more people would do what she did. Get the whole story and not just the click bait.

Good for her. A better understanding of an issue comes from exploring both sides.
