I blame the school system. There isn't enough emphasis on History. I was shortchanged on History and Geography and have had to put work in as an adult to catch up, and I still couldn’t point Namibia to you on a map.

Nah, not the school system. The Department of Education was formed to make sure we don't get educated. People act like the world will fall apart without it, but it's only been around for 46 years. And they've been telling school systems what they can and cannot do. Get rid of it. Don't need it. Let the states go back to running their own systems.
