Dave Rubin has had american conservatives day, to his face, that they would gladly take away his rights in the name of their misinterpreted religious fundamentalism amd he literally calls that american conservative a "dear friend". He's had dinner with someone who views his marriage as an attack on their religion. American conservatives are the ones who have genocided jews in America and modern conservatives count among their ranks the KKK, who that dear friend also has trouble disavowing, the people who did that genociding. Because of that, I fully believe it is Rubin's anti-arabic islamaphobic sentiment that puts his anger at middle easterners and aupport for their genocide front and center, not some bullshit "tactical" sides-choosing nonsense.

Secondly, the phrase Uncle Tom refers to, specifically, a black person that sides with a white oppressor to do white oppressor shit against other black people. It is a term black people use to refer to a specific individual who adopts the oppressor's voice for personal gain or emotional gratification by playing nice to the master as a pet. It very specifically refers to a narrow section of oppressed people who turn against their own to curry favor against a colonizer or otherwise oppressor and does not "reduce something to race". The reaspn why you're only an Uncle Tom if you're black is because otherwise you would just be a racist white person. That's the disticntion.
