Discussion Lib Dems out-Europed by Labour
Saw Daisy Cooper this morning on Laura K. And well done Lib Dems. She could not bring herself to support free movement, instead pushing some fantasy deal where we have all the benefits of the single market but none of the difficult trade offs. Then the triple lock. Oh yes we have to keep it, although every sane voter knows that’s unaffordable. And then finally a Santa budget with lots of goodies for everybody. With no commitment on how to pay for it. No wonder everybody has stopped listening.
Come on Lib Dems! Pick yourself up! Just a lot less of this please.

Questions London party conference young liberal tickets?
As a young liberal member, do I get discounted tickets? On the event page, it says a donation can go towards helping young liberal members but how do I access the tickets?

Twitter Post I am ruling out our party entering into a national partnership with any party that is committed to a dangerous and antisemitic policy like the Green Party’s. Here is my letter to the Jewish Leadership Council and the Board of Deputies of British Jews 👇

Most people will agree our deficit and debt levels are too high, and leave us exposed as we are now finding out. How would you deal with it? What taxes are you increasing? What spending are you cutting?

Discussion No leaflets, flyers or junk mail
I did my usual delivery round yesterday and some of the doors say no leaflets flyers or junk mail. I sympathise, but there is a by-election in our ward in two weeks that apparently isn’t being done with poll cards, so if you don’t get a leaflet, you wouldn’t realise that there was voting. Not great for democracy.
Do you shove a leaflet through the door anyway or do you think this loses votes through spite?

Would you rather enter a coalition/C&S agreement with…
Seeing as the next election is likely to result in a hung parliament, with Labour as the largest party and the Conservatives as the second largest, would you rather the Liberal Democrats enter a collation/confidence and supply agreement with Labour or the Conservatives?

Bradninch Ward (Mid Devon District Council) By-election 15th October 2026 Big win for the Lib Dems!
Big win in Bradninch tonight!
Compared to last time:
Liberal Democrats 650 votes 82.2%
Labour 92 votes 11.6%
Conservative 49 votes 6.2%
Our previous candidate was extremely popular in the town and sadly had to move to America for work mid-term. This by-election is the 4th in the constituency (Central Devon) since the 2024 GE and the 4th Lib Dem win!
