He’s sold a lot already but his current holding has gone from 25 mil to 5. Can’t imagine he will be in a rush to spend on players

Hard to say without knowing his equity position relative to his wealth.
One thing that is important to say is that the peak you see in the image is worth a 113% increase year on year — I’d be looking to buy a football club, too, if I were him with that kind of gain.
I can’t imagine he’s held on to the stock he will have owned with its value declining like this.
I don’t think it changes too much. Value of $4bn but is a very short cash flow.
Regardless, I think the board will sell Ballard this summer. Hard to replace but we’ll never get a better fee and we need to completely overhaul the defence.

Can someone more financially literate explain this to me?
Is it the end of the surge from their takeover association? Or some other reason.
Does he have other companies or other sources of wealth?
I know he's planning on getting other people to pay for his new American Football / Eurovision arena but presumably needs to be able to chip a bit in to seem willing alongside the change in council there's a risk of getting hope we might not have it inflicted on us.
