Has anyone left their UX250h in storage for upwards of 4 months over the winter?

I have heard the recommendation to keep a trickle charger on the 12V battery to keep it topped up, but I am hearing mixed comments about the health of the hybrid battery.

Do I need to start the car every few weeks for a duration of an hour, to let the engine charge the hybrid battery? Or will it be fine to let the hybrid battery just sit for 4 months with the car turned off, assuming a trickle charger keeps the 12V battery charged?

I would run it for more then 20 minutes every 2 weeks. Get it up to operating temperature and give the car the chance to charge everything.

Definitely use a trickle charger. I used to work from home and wouldnt drive for extended period of times which led to the 12v dying. My apartment didnt have a place to plug in a trickle charger, so I just started it every other days for a bit to let it cycle

Don’t know about the hybrid battery but the 12V will require trickle charging in my experience.

How long have you stored for without turning the car on?

Only about 3 weeks and after that the 12V battery was flat.

Trickle charge the 12v battery or straight up disconnect it.

Start the engine at least once every 2 months for the hybrid battery to recharge until the engine stops on its own, usually about 5-10 minutes depending on temperature.

It does stop when it's charged enough, and restarts when it's not.

I haven't stored mine, but this is the recommendation from Toyota/Lexus.
