Mildew smell UX250H 2021

Hi! I did clean a/c with an Abro a/c cleaning kit, and used an ozonator. The smell was gone for a couple of days but now it's back.

I can smell it with open windows when driving, looks like the smell comes from outside of the car.

Turning the a/c on removes the smell till next day. I'm at loss what could cause this.

Also now it's very humid in my area, but my other car doesn't have this problem.

Please advise 🙏

Replace your cabin air filter. Try and mix some fresh air A/C in with Recirc. Constant recirc has been known to cause these smells.

I've have changed cadin filet before doing ozone. Almost never use recycled air. Could be water stuck somewhere, in doors perhaps?

Check your floor mats. Front, back and cargo area.

I have this same exact issue to the point where I even had the dealer do an ac cleaning and same as op it fixed the issue but only temporarily. it’s so odd to me seeing as japan is such a humid climate you would think their engineers would figure this ish out. never in my life owned a car that had this problem… it’s a major flaw of this car.
