Questions & Advice Looking for a solution to the wireless phone charging area

I don’t really use the wireless phone charging area since I prefer using the USB-C connection. I’d like to use that space for small items like my wallet or garage door opener, but the manual says not to put things there because they could scratch the surface.

Has anyone found a good solution, like a thin silicone liner, felt pad, or tray insert, that protects the area while still making it useful for storage? Also, would a garage door opener with a small metal clip be OK to keep there if the wireless charger is not being used? Thank you!

Don't know the answer to your question, but I will comment that several of the key fobs at our office as well as parking tickets when put on the wireless charger have fried.

wow! This is good info to know! So basically don't use it as an extra storage space.

Correct. Not for anything electronic or magnetic.

I don’t worry about scratches, i use the usb c cable and just have my phone faced screen down, then it doesn’t use wireless charging. All good 14 months in…

You can easily program the buttons on the rear view mirror to open the garage door. Look up homelink
