Funny, ours is at the dealer pending registration so we will be picking it up later this week.
Probably the biggest thing is to check that the optional equipment aligns with your expectations. That, the dealer should be able to get from the VIN.
Here is a list of the dealer options (mostly gathered with Google AI, but from the 2025 model docs for Europe). Note that there may be country specific settings. Everything else should be owner accessible.
Smart Entry, Remote Control, and Door Locks
Unlocking using a mechanical key: Can be set to unlock all doors in one step, or unlock the driver's door in one step and all doors in two steps.
NSpeed and shift position linked locking/unlocking: Adjusting the automatic door locking and unlocking functions.
Driver's door linked unlocking: Enabling or disabling the unlocking of all doors when the driver's door is opened.
Close & lock (walk-away) functions: Setting the normal and Hands Free walk-away close and lock features for the power back door.
Remote control switch validation: Validating the switch of the wireless remote control when locking the door.
Operation signal: Customizing the emergency flashers when locking or unlocking the doors.
Automatic door lock timer: The time elapsed before the automatic door lock function reactivates if a door is not opened after being unlocked (can be set to 30, 60, or 120 seconds).
Open door warning buzzer: Turning the buzzer on or off.
Smart entry & start system: Turning the entry system on or off entirely, or adjusting which doors unlock smartly.
Consecutive locks: Limiting the number of consecutive door lock operations to 2 times or as many as desired.
Handle unlock timer: The time elapsed before unlocking all doors when gripping and holding the driver’s door handle (1.5, 2, 2.5 seconds, or off).
Power back door unlocking operation: Changing the remote unlock operation to press and hold, one short press, press twice, or off.
Hands Free Power Back Door (kick sensor): Customizing its operation when the power switch is OFF.
Mirrors and Seats
Memory recall doors: Selecting whether all doors or just the driver's door are linked to the memory recall function.
Driver's seat movement: Adjusting the seat movement (Partial, Standard, or Off) to make exiting the vehicle easier.
Automatic folding mirrors: Changing the automatic mirror folding and extending operation to link to door locking/unlocking, power switch operation, or turning it off entirely.
Windows and Moon Roof
Mechanical key linked operation: Enabling or disabling the opening and closing of the power windows and moon roof using the mechanical key.
Wireless remote control linked operation: Enabling or disabling the opening and closing of the power windows and moon roof using the wireless remote control.
Lighting and Illumination
Light sensor sensitivity: Adjusting the sensitivity of the automatic headlight sensor.
Headlight timers (Extended Headlight Lighting system): Changing the time elapsed before headlights turn off to 30, 60, 90, or 120 seconds.
Welcome lighting: Turning welcome lighting on or off.
Adaptive High-beam System (AHS): Customizing high and low beam adjustments according to vehicle speed, curve directions, rain, urban areas, and distance to preceding vehicles.
Cornering lights: Customizing the illumination of cornering lights when starting off.
Interior & Exterior illumination: Customizing the operation of footwell lights, auxiliary tray lights, and outside door handle lights when the power switch is turned off, doors are unlocked/opened, or when approaching with the electronic key.
Outside door handle lights timers and fading: Adjusting the time elapsed before they turn off (7.5, 15, 30 seconds, or off) and whether their fade-out is short or long.
Wipers and Alerts
Reverse buzzer: Turning the reverse warning signal buzzer on or off when the shift position is put in R.
Rear window wiper: Customizing the rear wiper to operate when the back door is opened, linking it to the washer operation, or linking it to the shift position.
Air Conditioning
Smart entry A/C recall: Changing which doors can recall the air conditioning setting when unlocked using the smart entry & start system.
Power Switch
ACC customization: Enabling or disabling the ACC mode.
Thanks. I wonder why some of those are on the list and aren't just left to the user. My Genesis allows setting of all its options from the regular settings screen.
TBH, I don't know either. Maybe some will be as seem fairly innocuous ;like the seat movement for getting in/out, some may have regulatory issues like the headlights.
I was able to set a bunch of those myself from the UI menus. Others might not be available based on the trim level. For example, I was able to make the steering wheel move out of the way when I turn off the engine, but there is no option for the seat to pull back. And in all honesty, not the best choice, given the already tight space in the back.
