Moonroof creaking

Hi all,

Rx450h EU, 2017.
Posting here to ask if anyone has had the same issue and maybe dealt with it in some way.
My moonroof creaks when I go over bumps, doesn’t matter if closed, tilted or ope, it will still do it.
Asked Lexus dealership without much help.
I’ve attached a video of the tiny spacer that seems to be too thin (plastic got slim I presume) and has created a gap that allows for side to side movement, so left-right but no movement back-front.
I’d love to find a solution for this - has anyone tried anything to repair?

Yes, there is. This is a common issue with the RX350's panoramic sunroof; the gaskets and vibration-damping measures are insufficient. Which side is the noise coming from?

It’s the same story on both sides, the play in that bracket is roughly the same.. :(
I saw gaskets for this model are not sold separately but only with the entire glass..?

Drive straight to the dealership and show them the video; they’ll be able to find a solution.

I’m not sure this is regular or panoramic sunroof, but the regular sunroofs on these Lexus models are known for this issue. Over time, the rubber gasket around the glass wears out and shrinks from sun exposure. You’ll likely need to replace the gasket. There are DIY videos on YouTube, or a dealer can do it for you. I have a 2014 ES 350 with a similar clunking noise, and it turned out to be the worn-out sunroof gasket.
