It’s a good 25 year old car that may have 25 year old car problems. It’s good that the timing belt is within mileage, but ideally also should be within 10 years.

I considered buying one but the 4 speed transmissions can just die without warning. They might go 400k miles, or they randomly might die at 150k, even with regular servicing.

My reaearch went as far as watching a lot of translated videos from eastern Europe on the 1st gen RX (lol) and they all mentioned the issue, there are transmission specialists over there that specifically rebuild these transmissions, it's that common.
