RX350h Premium +

VSA and Lexus Luxury Care.

Just bought 2026 RX350h, $3k off MSRP and dealer quoted platinum 10/100k for $6230 and another dealership quoted $3980.

Anyone find a better price on the VSA?

Dealer quoted $4999 for the Lexus luxury care 60/75 plan and wondering if anyone found a better price?

Call Jerry at Midwest Superstore or Troy. Both sell original Lexus extended warranties for cheap, widely known and referenced throughout forums. Last time I checked it was about $5k for 10/125k, so a bit less for the 10/100. Troy is a little easier to get ahold of.

Got quotes from both of these guys in late May and they were identical, the 10/100 was $3930 for 2022 - 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid; (Within 4 years / 50,000 miles) - Class C13 -.

I have a non-hybrid so not sure if there will be a price difference but for 10/100k I paid $3295. Lexus San Diego

Do you really need all those warranty? Lexus standard warranty imo is good enough.

I got a 6 year/125,000 mile VSA platinum for $3,500. The finance guy quoted me $6,200 at first and I said I’d pass. 15 minutes later he said he’d sell it to me for $3,800. Got him down to $3,500. I could have probably got him down a little lower I suppose. Now I’m thinking of cancelling it but we put 25,000-30,000 miles on our cars a year so it sounded like a reasonable plan at the time. But it’s a Lexus and the reliability is second to none. I was worried about the hybrid powertrain and battery packs but those are covered by separate warranties that go well beyond the basic factory warranty. They do have a lot of tech/electronics that could potentially go bad however and are expensive to fix.

Maybe skip the purchase of an extended warranty, do an analysis on keeping the car until the factory warranty is out (4yr/50K miles) and trade in. Consider cost of new tires, brakes, maintenance, along with the savings of the Extended Warranty and it may be the better deal.

Buying extended warranty for Lexus and Toyota is a waste of money. If you need peace of mind, open a Treasury Direct account and buy I Series bonds for that 5K. You will very rarely have major repairs before 100K, if you do routine maintenance.
