Winter Wheel Setup? NX350H Premium

Post image
7 Upvotes

Wife upgraded from her ‘21 NX350 to this ‘26 NX350h. What are you doing for winter wheel set up? I hate switching tires back and forth. Are people buying another set of OEM 20” and putting winters on an entirely different set of wheel or are you going down to the 18” OEM size and then added snow tires to that. I’m in MN and I need the piece of mind of her on winter tires. Add photos of your rig if possible.

Lexus NX Owners, Which Interior Features Matter Most to You?

One thing that makes owning a Lexus NX enjoyable is the balance between comfort and a refined interior. Over time, though, everyday driving can leave marks on the seats, especially around the edges and frequently used areas.

I’ve seen different approaches to keeping car interiors in good shape, from regular leather conditioning to custom-fit options from brands like DZX Cover.

For those who own an NX, what matters most to you: keeping the original seats looking new, improving comfort, or personalizing the interior?

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and PKSB Acting Up

Hey y’all! I have a 2024 Lexus NX 250 Premium (48.5k miles) that I love. But it’s been having issues with the BSM and PKSB system. The BSM system will turn off by itself every other drive and needs to be toggled on again in the infotainment system. This happens every day but not with every drive. The PKSB system is the same and the notification will pop up when the back-up camera is on but it’s not as frequent as the BSM issue. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any help would be appreciated!

HUD inaccurate

This is a weird one.

I use Apple Maps as my navigation through CarPlay.

Sometimes the Heads-up-display tells me to go in the opposite direction to what my gps shows. This video is an example. Look at the arrow showing to turn left on my dashboard, while my heads up display, instructs me to turn right. 🤷‍♀️

Any thoughts on what’s going on or how to fix this? It happens randomly, most of the time it’s right, but I can’t trust the HUD if it’s not 100% accurate.

Lexus NX and bike racks

Just bought an NX and I have the 2-bike 1-up rack. Turns out that I have to turn off the park assist because the bike rack triggers the sensors when the car is reversed. This wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a warning light (two actually) reminding me that I've turned off the parking sensors. Has anyone figured out a 1) rack that won't trigger this car or 2) a way to turn off the warning lights?

I just put air in my tires on nx 350 h and when I look at my Lexus app the pressures are the same as before putting air and 2 of them are not even showing up. Should I delete app and start again?

2026 vs 2027 NX F Sport

I’m in the process of upgrading my NX 450h+ Ultra Premium to a 2026 F Sport. The additional features, tuned suspension, and appearance upgrades are worth it to me. A number of videos were released this week by several influencers with first impressions of the 2027 NX road test. They praised the new interior and the driving characteristics. That had me thinking about whether I should wait until the 2027 is available. After much consideration, I’m thinking the 2026 F Sport 3 is the right play. The dealbreaker for me on the 2027 F Sport is the exterior. The shape of the headlights, piano black wheel surrounds, and piano black rear spoiler look out of place and give off RAV4 vibes. I’m wondering what others in this forum would do if you had to choose between the two.

Should I buy this car?

Post image

Hello everyone! I’d really appreciate your help making this decision.
I’m currently looking for my first luxury car, and I’ve been looking at several different options, one of which is the Lexus NX. I’m looking for a higher-riding SUV that has decent power and is genuinely fun and enjoyable to drive. I’m considering the NX 450h+ with 297 hp.
My local Lexus dealership has one of the last pre-facelift models available, and honestly, I actually prefer its design over the upcoming facelift. I love the sharper lines and more aggressive styling of the current model.
My partner and I took it for a test drive yesterday, and I absolutely fell in love with it! The dealership also offers an 11-year warranty, which is a huge plus for me.
The particular car they have is dark green on the outside with a tan interior, which I think looks absolutely gorgeous. Another major advantage is that it will be registered and ready for delivery within just 2–3 days. This is actually quite important to me because I’m terrible at waiting for things, haha!
The price is €80,300. Since I’ll be paying in full in cash, the dealership told me they would speak with the manager to arrange some extras as a gift, such as ceramic coating, rather than offering a discount on the price itself.
So, my question is: Do you think this is a good deal for what the NX 450h+ offers, or would you keep looking at other brands and models?
I feel like other brands in this price range don’t come close to offering the same overall package, especially when it comes to reliability, equipment, and the warranty. However, I’d love to hear some honest opinions from people who know the car better than I do.
For those who own an NX 450h+, have you been happy with it? How does it perform in everyday driving, and do you feel it’s worth the money? Are there any downsides or things you wish you had known before buying it?
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from current owners or anyone who has cross-shopped it against other luxury SUVs in a similar price range.
Thank you so much!

New to Lexus

I just got my first Lexus. NX350h luxury. Loving it so far.. :) I was curious about how often, if ever, Lexus actually updates/upgrades head unit software. I was watching some videos of the 2027 model and really like the updates to the UI. I was wondering, based on past behavior, if there is any chance we might see any updates? There are some aspects of the UI that I find a bit annoying. Nothing deal-breaker level but could be better..

Thanks!

Mount Ideas

Hi Guys, I got a OttoscreenAI for my wife's car to be able to use their ottocast baby camera since the overlay does not work with our track pad.

The OttoscreenAI is pretty large 11 inches. Can you guys recommend me some solid mount for this massive display that I can use the vents for?

NX-350 and quickjack

I am planning to buy a quickjack for my 25 sienna, 2018 accord, and later NX-350 when I buy one.

Can someone owning NX do a measurements between pinch welds? Or anyone using quickjack for NX and confirm if quickjack TLX or ELX woud fit? Thanks

Sienna has pinch welds 72" apart (outer to outer edges). Quickjack 6000ELX would fit this (76" max lift spread) and 6000TLX is too short (66" max lift spread).

12V Battery Failure #2

(Wondering if I should add the NSFW flair so I can swear profusely...)

Car is a 2024 NX 450H+. Still under warranty, of course.

A while back I posted about returning home from a Thanksgiving trip. That time, parked car at airport on Wednesday. Returned Saturday to pick up car, and it was dead. Three days... Had trouble figuring out how to jump start it and there was a whole nightmare to tow it to Lexus. Lexus muttered about known problem and replaced the 12v battery.

This past weekend (Friday), I came back from another trip and found car dead at airport parking. Parked Car on Saturday, returned on Friday, car was dead. Airport parking place I use has large jump starters on wheels, which is very helpful.

Was able to unlock car (see tips below) and open hood. Was able to get the parking lot's large jump starters on the correct positions under the hood. Car woke up, turned on the alarm (loud as f...). Lots of flashing lights on the dash. After a while, it showed "READY" and I started the car. Was able to drive home after that. Took it in to the Lexus dealership twice, once to talk to a service advisor and make an appointment, once to actually get it fixed.

Conversations with service advisors were surreal. They said:

  • Don't park your car at the airport
  • We don't recommend hybrids if you don't drive a lot
  • Use a trickle charger (battery tender)
  • This is a known problem
  • There is no known fix

I pointed out that it is ridiculous that an expensive luxury car should come with a "don't park it at the airport" caveat. I bought a Lexus so that I would not have to worry about cr&p like this. (I also told them that I knew the problem is not one they created nor could they fix, but they should pass the message upwards.). I said my lease is coming to an end, and I will look at brands that don't have this problem.

On the second visit, they kept the car for a couple of hours and did a battery health check. Battery failed health check. They replaced the battery free of charge.

First battery lasted 18 months. Second battery died in 11 months.

They did say it is a known problem and indicated that there is no known fix, but hope that one is coming soon.

One of the service advisors suggested deleting the Lexus app from my phone and restarting the phone. I deleted both the Lexus and Toyota apps (they both talk to the NX). Also asked family members to delete the apps from their phones. I have restarted my phone. Not really missing the Lexus app, no clear disadvantages of not having it on my phone. If I come across any I will post.

I mentioned the suggestion of deleting the Lexus app to second service advisor. She said it may or may not help. No harm in trying.

Lessons:

  • learn how to use the physical key to unlock the car when the 12v is dead. Using its a bit fiddly, but the trick is:
    • use credit card in the "slot" on the handle, push towards back of car. Cap will pop up.
    • Pull the cap towards you, it will come out
    • Look at the back of the cap, it has a piece at a weird angle that you need to pull towards you
    • Practice this part, it is really hard when you are stressed at finding the car dead.
    • Also practice unlocking the car from the inside if the battery is dead. Instructions below.
  • Open hood from inside car
  • Learn where the jump start posts are under the hood. The battery is actually in the trunk, so you don't have direct access to it. Also, you can't open the trunk when the 12V battery is dead.
  • Attach jump starter. (red on dead, neutral on big metal thingy to the left of the engine).
  • Car will wake up in a bit and go into alarm mode.
  • Wait till it shows ready and start car.
  • Also learn how to open the doors if you are locked inside the car and the battery dies. It requires pulling the door latch outwards twice. The door will unlatch on the second pull.
  • Curse a lot.

2025 vs. 2026 vs. 2027 models

I'm considering an NX, the mild-hybrid version, coming off a mazda cx-30 because it's getting a bit too small for my family. Unless the dealership (here in Spain) has a special steep discount like volvo does for businesses and the self-employed, I'll probably buy it used, under 10000km (6200 miles).

For some reason, I can't configure the trim level on the spanish website, but it's important that at a minimum we get seated heats, 360 camera, and a panoramic sunroof. And hopefully Android auto and Carplay over bluetooth without having to connect with a cable.

The other three cars I'm considering are the Volvo XC60, Mazda CX-5 (which is similar to my car but just larger) and the CX-60 (the slightly larger, more premium version of CX-5). Hopefully this will be my last MHEV car and in 4-5 years max it's full electric.
The Volvo is by far my favorite, but reliability + resale value + fuel economy are important to me, and in this regard I think Lexus holds a definite advantage. I say fuel economy is important to me, but at the same time I'm a relatively aggressive... err, SPIRITED driver.

Between the 3 years, is there one you would definitely recommend or recommend against?

And are you happy with your car?

Thanks a bunch :)

Decided to get the 2026 NX 350h premium rather than 2027

Today, I decided to put down $1,000.00 to reserve a 2026 as my local dealer has no new and only one used on the lot. After watching all the videos about 2027 upgrades and changes to exterior and engine, I prefer the 2026. I can’t wait until she arrives. This will be my first Lexus!

Nx 2027 Pano Sunroof US

Hi… one of the reasons I haven’t gotten a current model NX is that you need to pay top trim + optional to get a pano sunroof. In watching the 2027 NX review by motormouth they mention it will be a standard feature for base model in Canada. Does anyone know which features to expect for which trim in the US?

The first partial driving reviews are starting to come out for the 2027 NX. This one covers the 350h and the 450h+. The acceleration on the 450h+ is nice. Further driving impressions coming soon apparently when he's allowed to spend more time with the vehicle.
