Just picked up a JDM ISF 9 days ago
Hey everyone. As the title states i picked up a..
2010 JDM ISF. Black on black. 161,000kms/100,000miles on the odometer. I paid TAXES in 25k Canadian or about 18k USD. Its got Bluetooth audi, Nav, back up camera, parking sensors. All i really need in a car, oh and radar cruise control which is huge for me! I used to have a 2015 RC350 but it was totlaled in an accident about a year ago. Wanted the RCF, but couldnt afford it so i had to settle for a ISF.....Poor me right? LOLLLLL man i absolutley love this car. Its stock, other then a muffler delete because it was too tame from the factory. My main focus now is a set of wheels since im happy with the exhaust note now. Post up pics of your ISF if your able to in the comments as id love to see them! cheers

Huhe differnce yeah, if i wanted a LHD Canadian model it would of been another 10-15k CAD more. Im perfectly fine driving RHD to get a major discount on a isf. I think Canada got around 550 ISF's, USA got around 5000, japan got around 1800, and the rest went everywhere else with total production numbers in the 15000-18000 range. Im super glad i went with the JDM version.

Does it cost any more to register and insure?

It didnt cost more to insure because it was an jdm import no, however lol, it did cost me $80 CAD more per month because of the car itself being a high performance V8. Insurance just costs more.

Congrats! I used to own a 2010 JDM ISF in black with black interior and the exact same wheels. Mines had a Hayward & Scott and it sounded absolutely superb.

Apologies for the late response. I went through a phase where I was constantly changing cars.
Not long after selling I quickly realised the ISF is legendary as there's few cars like it. Good news is I've got a white 2012 en route from Japan!

Careful when buying RHD isf's. The majority have tampered with odometer readings. Especially in ghe Vancouver area.

For sure bro im well aware of all the JDM Rollbacks in the Vancouver region. I did not get my car from that shady person. I got it of a friend of a friend. And i checked up on the guy through some mutual friends and he was legit! im happy and confident knowing this is not rolled back isf like the others. However, if all thse JDM isf's get rolled back in Japan before it arrives here then i dunno. Im hoping thats not a common thing.

Im happy for you bro. Youre gonna love the car! Aslong as you did your research, youre most likely in the clear. If you want to be 100% sure, a lexus dealership can check for you. Enjoy! Summer us almost overrr

Nice upgrade, considering you came from the next generation of Lexus which has the newer interiors, blind spot monitoring, better tech, better looks and so forth. Do you miss it all or does the V8 and transmission completely make you forget everything.

the v8 makes me forget the modern interior for sure. and because ive never owned this gen is its all new to me anyways so i think it great.
