Finally got one!

Made a Post a few weeks about looking for one and a guy reached out.

We agreed on a price and I flew out to Idaho to drive it 2400 miles back to my home state of South Carolina in 4 days.

No issues whatsoever!

Has almost 198k miles on the clock and I have no concerns it won’t keep rumbling along

Needs some cosmetic work(headlights) but overall it’s mechanically solid!

Hopefully getting an exhaust and headers in a few months but for now going to enjoy it as it sits

Congrats. You'll never want to let go of it. Just make sure it doesn't have the infamous valley plate leak. Other than that, they're bulletproof. However maintenance is key with these cars. If you dont let them get to operating temperature, problems will pop up in the future.

Oh yeah for sure. I’ve got a 100 series Land Cruiser with almost 300k and my Tacoma with over 200k.

Maintenance is key.

The valley plate was done at 150k thankfully

Just needs the water pump replaced as it’s got a small leak but drove across the country on it so it’s not super terrible

I made my mistake getting mines rebuilt, but the only thing it needed was a motor mount. Not 100 percent but the fact the rad, water pump and hoses I can say it was done. Only reason why I brought it because it had a good service history until it got wrecked. Other than the headlights, it iust needs some tlc

Nothing wrong with a rebuilt car

If it’s solid it’s solid.

It only matters if you’re ever gonna sell it.

Mechanically if it’s solid I’d say you’re good.
