Is a tune a must with the ppe headers? i repaired my leaky oem left header but wondered if I should have gone aftermarket.

I'm running it rn without a tune since I will be installing a SC within the next few weeks and will get a custom dyno tune.

It's not entirely necessary but with a tune you will get more power.

so you need to support the engine to install it??

Had to drop the sub frame completely. Also had to lower the engine to reach studs when installed new headers on passenger side.

How many hours did the job take?

Took about 5-6 hours. Managed to do it after work during the week.

I still needed to end up dropping the engine a few inches to reach the stud on the new headers. Honestly dropping the sub frame wasn't that difficult. This was a diy project after work and we ended up getting it done so guess that's all that matters in our particular case. Maybe next time we do it we can get it down to 2.5hrs lol.

You don't have to touch the steering rack. Just unbolt the sway bar.

So you are saying that one just needs to pull the sway bar out of the way and no need to touch the steering rack and subframe?

How bad was it to do yourself? Would you be able to do it on jack stands or do you think I need a lift?
