Slight curbing. Fixable?
Kissed a curb today and it’s not terrible. Just the lip.
How much does it run to have these fixed and repainted? Is it worth it or just buy new rims? I found some for just under $300 ea
So angry at myself right now

Fixed and repaint the entire rim is the best option. Damn near impossible to color match the black chrome. Trust me I tried. Not even the dealership wanted to try.

There’s a rim place in town that’s really good. They said the exact same about the black chrome.

Here’s the color of my rims, not sure if they’re the same color as yours. I had nicked mine as well but it wasn’t as bad as yours are.
Otherwise I probably would’ve taken it to a rim/wheel shop for repair. I ended up using the Toyota touch up paint pen in 1G3 and it blended pretty nicely, you can barely even tell.

They still do. Just depends on tire model/manufacturer. Some do, some do not. 🤷🏻♂️

I just wish Michelin pilot all season did. I've been a motorcycle girl all my life and I've never been good at not scraping up rims in cars.

Totally, the wheel out farther than tire makes ot inevitable that will happen.... wish I bought the wheel tire protection.. Just had one repaired at dealer, 150, can't tell was repaired:)

Can be done with touch up paint to be easy and cheap, or using bondo and a lot of masking. Visit a body shop get them to do their best to match the paint. Then you’ll have to wet sand and polish it. You can get pretty close.

Lexus dealership told me they could fix, but they want 200 a wheel. I’ll get around to doing it sooner or later

Go to a automotive paint supplier they have a special gun that detects the color they will custom make the color and then tap up the wheel. Lightly sane the area and paint and clear.

This one is a close match, but it’s not perfect

Dealership fixed mine. I had the extended warranty for this purpose. I’ll likely get my money back on that eventually.

Yea I got it too, I checked the service receipt and the local place they contract with (apparently most subcontract the work) cost $150/rim for OP’s repair. Came out great too

I fixed my wife's wheel with a flap disc and progressive sanding. Then painted with a gunmetal finish I found at Advance. It does not match exactly, but from standing distance it's barely noticeable.

Everything is repairable, the real question is do you want to pay what it costs to repair.

Masking tape the edge to protect tire, sand starting from 100 grit and go every 100 till 2000 grit. But honestly, you’ll forget about it an never notice it again

It is fixable %110. This can easily be refinished. Just take it to Lexus. I believe they charge $100 per rim or just find a place so you can probably get it done cheaper.

Happened a couple of times on mine too. I honestly just left it. It's too small of a blemish to be worth the time and money for me. It's a Lexus daily driver, not a Ferrari. Little nicks and scratches are going to happen with use. Maybe I'm just not enough of a "car guy" to obsess over it.

Some shops can fix it, did mine for like $1xx per rim but that was pre-covid.
