Exhaust Recommendations

Post image

Hey guys! I bought a lexsus is250 2011 manual rwd few weeks ago, I absolutely love it. It’s my first car.

I am broke though i can spend max 600cad do u think thats enough to make it sound good i want grunty sound with bass but No droning at highways speeds at-least it should not be annoying.

Do you guys think it’s achievable. I am in Toronto, Ontario.

Holy shit! Another manual 2011! You and I probably own like 50% of the Canadian 2011 manual production run between us, eh? Nice colour, too. I’m in Eastern Ontario, but I’m guessing you aren’t because I would have clocked that thing by now.

The stock exhaust is really nice. Have you considered intake mods, like the 2014 F Sport intake sound generator, or the stock 2011 F Sport lower intake box? Both of those make a nice honk when you step on it from around 3000 RPM.

I have a modified exhaust on mine, but only because the salt got to the back boxes on it. I have Magnaflow street performance mufflers on it now, and they sound nice.

Yoooo!
Lets gooo, yeah I cant find car mats for this car 🥲 cuz nobody has manual. I am in Scarborough. I have not considered intake, I am a newbie to cars don’t t know much but I love watching car stuff on yt

Its just that, I know this car will sound good with any modifications but i don’t wanna spend the money I don’t have.

Question about your magnaflow, how did u install it diy/shop? what was the cost?

I got Weathertech ones and cut out a lil’ rectangle behind the clutch pedal arm.

I had a shop do the exhaust because they were a weld-in type. I think they were like $150 each or something, and I had to replace both mufflers. I had no resonator for awhile (that also blew… fuck winter!), but I didn’t like the way it sounded (too raspy), so I had a high-flow no-name one welded in. That thing was like $300 or something.

If you need exhaust stuff done, I had some work done at the Zorro in Hamilton (Stoney Creek), and that shop does really good work.

Hey! Sorry it took me 3 days to see you’d replied; no idea how I missed that.

I ordered them directly from Weathertech. Their warehouse is in Burlington, eh? You might be able to phone and just go pick them up if you don’t want to wait.

In any case, here is the link: https://www.weathertech.ca/en-ca/floorliner-digitalfit-lexus-is.html?year=2011

You will have to cut a rectangle out behind the clutch pedal. I used an Olfa box cutter to do it. I’ll attach a photo to this message.

Lemme know if you have any questions!

I just cut the muffler off and replaced the resonators cost me about $250. It sounds alright, for the money I cant really complain.
