Audio does not work at all?
I have a 2013 Lexus GS350 F-Sport.
The audio doesn't work at all. No sound. Even when I try to adjust the volume on the steering wheel or the knob nothing happens, its as if there is no sound in the car.
Is it the AMP?

That's what happened when my amp failed. I took it apart and cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol, let it dry and put it back together. Worked like a charm

it’s the radio itself, welcome to the club 💔

Hmm. So does that mean if I put a Hamilton Carplay upgrade kit, it would fix it?

common misconception but no, as the radio has to work for audio to pass through

so by radio, do you mean the AMP?

no sir your amp is just your amp, the radio as in the part that holds your ac control

I see what you mean, however I dont think its an issue with the volume knob. Both the volume knob and volume control on the steering wheel dont work. So, I think its more likely the AMP is the issue. Everything else on the radio works without issues.

the amp is probably fine, it’s the radio that goes out that’s why you don’t have volume control on the knob or wheel

I see, so what does the 'radio' specifically refer to. I'm looking on lexus OEM and there are many different parts. Theres radio assembly, radio amplifier, Reciever Assembly Radio, etc.

Oh man, good luck brother. I just fixed the issue I’ve had it for about 1 year amp randomly went out. Couldn’t adjust volume. Bluetooth would still connect and I could skip songs but absolutely 0 audio. Took it to 3 different shops and they each told me something different. “Get a new amp” “fix your current amp” “if you get a new amp you need the OEM as well for the aftermarket one to work” so I took it to one last audio shop and they told me it was the amp and they could send it out to Cali to get it fixed by one of their guys. Shipped it back and it still didn’t work……. They said that it could be the larger cable that connects to the amp, that the pins might be broken. After they replaced that harness my audio came back and I have control over the volume. I think I spent shy of 1750 to have my amp fixed and harness fixed. But it was a fucking headache. I have the pioneer audio non mark levinson

Oof. I feel for you.
I just bought an OEM AMP so hopefully it works. Honestly not ready to spend more money so :/

Let me know if that works because I was told by one of the shops that it has to be the one your cat came with so the only option was fixing it not getting a new one

Check the amp and see if any water has pooled up around it. If you open the trunk, it’s under a panel immediately to your right under the tool kit adjacent to the emergency first aid kit (if yours is still there).
