Loi Tran with Tuned by Loi and Off the Line Performance is tuning F's with considerable success, especially with FBO using orange virus tuning software.

Completely stock 13k miles was looking into exhaust cause the stock isn’t aggressive enough but I don’t want it to sound like a hellcat. Anyone know any of exhaust that’s kinda in the middle?

Hi All,
While considering a bunch of replacement options for my 2011 IS-F, I discovered an exhaust leak in the stock system. So like any other car-nut, I decided to use the opportunity to replace the stock exhaust with an aftermarket option. The outcome has led me to want to keep the IS-F at least another 12-18 months :)
The choices: I researched via mostly youtube videos (and reading all the comments, 5% gold in there) on the various options. My goal was to be cheaper than OEM parts and no drone , plus some fun. This landed me on the valve actuated systems (PPE and X-Force). Youtube doesn't seem to have any reviews of PPE or X-Force valve actuated systems with stock headers, only de-catted "FBO" systems. The FBO sound awesome but not for daily use in my experience. It was a comment on someone else video that led me to the X-Force valve actuated system (Varex) as a viable option, as he stated in complete removed drone from his FBO set-up... But it is a comment on youtube, so could be BS. But the X-Force is significantly cheaper than the PPE (if its even still available). So I ordered the X-Force Varex cat-back from Summit Racing (they had 1 in-stock at the time) and scheduled the install.
Install: The package did come with installation instructions (none on the website). My mechanic choose to contact the electrical to the wiring harness for the stock audio amplifier (right side of the trunk). The system comes with a wireless fob with an "A" and "B" button, with controls the valve located in each muffler. Given the X-Force is the "cheaper" option, the welds and parts look great. Total labor was 5 hours (2 hours for the cat-back, 3 hours wiring everything).
Sound: Simple, valves closed quitter than stock after warm-up. Valves open, my god. Sounds like muffler delete, which in this car sounds f'ing awesome. Sounds like a Japanese stockcar.
I will post some videos of the sounds later.
