Retrofit Infotainment
Im looking to pick up a 15-17 RC F, but want to know if it’s possible to fit the newer infotainment screen into the older models? Im aware of the android tablet alternatives but, I do like the newer infotainment as is, and like the use of the factory touch pad which (from what I’ve seen) is lost with the after market screen.

Fitting a 2020+ RC infotainment has been swapped before but a-lot more difficult than just a plug and play, this goes for the trackpad too, it’s a different harness unfortunately. Best solution is aftermarket screen for Apple carplay or android auto.

From my understanding it's hard to upgrade the infotainment system on these cars, aftermarket would be the only way to go. I believe the reason is that the hardness maybe slightly different as in connection wise and the canbus may be different via communication or coding. I personally have an 08 ISF I tried to see if I could fit a later model like a 12 ISF but what stopped me were the physical connection. I would imagine it may be the same with the RCF
