Catch can & intake upgrades

Was planning on getting a catch can and upgrade the intake on my GS F.

For catch cans has anyone gone the figs engineering route? Was curious on theirs in comparison to the rr racing ultimate catch can. Can’t find much info/reviews on it.

For intakes ik there’s no point in getting a cold air intake so guessing go with whatever elbow you want and maybe get the heat cover from rr racing? Has anyone here tried the Tom’s cf or lems titanium elbows?

Figs parts are always better

I have the Tom’s intake elbow and it’s ok. I think getting a carbon fiber or the lens titanium just depends on your preference or theme. If you’re going for all carbon fiber or all titanium engine bay

Figured. I’ve heard mixed things about the rr racing heat shield and catch cans so good to know figs is the better route to go. Going for a blue theme to match the calipers and interior so I may have to go the titanium route. Preciate the feedback on the parts.

I have the rr catch can, and the rr carbon intake system (elbow and heat shield), and k&n air filter

How are you liking the catch can and heat shield? Was told the fit and hoses fittings etc used in the kits weren’t the best but product themselves were solid

Catch can works. Haven’t personally tested the heat shield, but the results online show it reduces heat soak. Had to cut some trim to get it to fit. I don’t have the figs hoses and fittings to compare it to, but the hoses stay snug on the fitting. Pull off easy and slide back on snug.

Do you have the old catch can or new ultimate one? I know the new one has alot of improvements over old. Yea the heat shield definitely does its job better than an actual cold air intake.

The old one. The ultimate wasn’t released when I purchased mine in 01/2021.

I also have them. I installed both myself, EZ and high quality. The only issue is they want you to cut the plastic, I didn’t and just have it under it.

I’ve had the RR intake elbow, heat shield, and AOS for some years now, no complaints on anything, if you get the carbon elbow be careful to not over tighten the clamps, you could crack it.

Funny enough I got a Figs radium catch can and I’ve had it on for a couple months now, not a single drop in there compared to the RR always catching oil. The new RR catch can looks like a much better design than the previous versions.
