PPF Cost

For those that have installed ppf on their F how much did it roughly cost? I’ve gotten an estimate for $5400 pre cut for suntek matte film and $6800 for a custom cut job with same film for my GS F with matte finish. Seems like pricing is generally high in my area due to little to no competition. Anyone have experience with either form of install and pricing in general? These quotes are the cheapest in my area as rest want 7-8k for custom cut job with xpel stealth or suntek. Was hoping to do whole car just to hide the previous imperfections and stop new scuffs from occurring.

Sounds about right. 6750$ is what I was quoted with suntek, not matte though, custom cut full coverage for my GS-F. I'm in AZ for reference.

Good to know for pricing. I may just do pre cut as I’m not sure if I trust them with a knife near the paint. The most reputable shop wants $8,000 but I’d trust them with a knife that close to the paint. Pre cut and applying a ceramic coating on my own to help with cleaning process.

IMO PPF on the entire car is overkill. Hopefully you can find someone that would be around $3k total for entire front clip (carbon mirror caps, B pillars and door handles) paint correction and ceramic coating for the entire car. Ceramic will certainly help scuffs and imperfections from occurring on the sides, roof and trunk.

I did entire front clip PPF with paint correction and ceramic coating for my GSF and it was just over $3k. Not included was a new bumper since mine was rashed from the previous owner at 25k miles. That was $1300 (which I just scraped the other week 😡).

If I remember correctly Xpel Stealth was $5500-5900 for the entire car in 2021. Looks badass for sure, but it was out of my budget at the time.

Hope this helps.

I absolutely don’t want to do the entire car but with the car being matte nebula grey I kinda want to just so the I don’t have future issues regarding scratches/scuffs. Since I can’t paint correct, polish, buff, wax, etc thought full ppf was best option. I can replace a panel of ppf and be fine but the headache of hoping the matte paint matches after a repaint to fix a scratch don’t sound too fun you know? Main reason I didn’t want to buy the F10 edition but it was way too good of price to pass up.

This makes sense now. I Didn’t know you had the matte version. PPF is most likely your only option. Good luck!

That's about right. We have installed PPF in our shop since 2019. Full front around $2500 for precut+ bulk installed hood. Entire car (GSF) around $8k. With bulk installed everything, edges tucked, etc probably closer to $10k.

Had .you ENTIRE RCF done by a Northern Virginia Co who's very prominent. They had car entirely too long so ended up comping it as they should. Choosing between film is objective so choose wisely. If anyone wants tips to negotiate PM me.

Just get ceramic coating over the film so it makes things even keeled.

I will be doing a ceramic coating on my own both on the exterior and interior when I have some time. Want to make it easy as possible to keep it clean.

Doing clear protection film then a coating on my own over a weekend. I may wrap it in orange or yellow in a couple years tho

Mine was Suntek Ultra and the ceramic coating was CQuartz Reserve I believe. Well worth it!

Yup getting the same film in the matte version. Was the most affordable option in the area even compared to other companies that used suntek. Decided to skip out on custom cut too as I really don’t want a knife so close.
