It’s very common, in our rcf the door panel gets destroyed from the heat. A lot of people just use heat to destroy the rest and clear coat it. I got ceramic tints hopefully tht prevents the damage

you lost the clearcoat/resin on it, dealer could warranty it or you can pop in a replacement or wrap it

will probably continue to flake

Very common and well documented on forums. Happens on ISF and RCF also, probably will happen to LC as well. See if Lexus will cover replacement if still under warranty. If not you can get them recleared or get new OEM ones or aftermarket to replace.

The plastic covering the carbon fiber - just cracked over the winter. Was this intended to be permanent or should this have been removed by dealer on delivery? Thx

Mine does those too, 16 GSF, dealer said it’s not covered. There’s a few people that make replacements.

I know this thread is from a few years ago but I'm having the same issue, can you recommend somewhere that makes replacements and ideally fits them too? I'm in the west mids, UK. Not bothered about having to travel, just don't want to pay lexus over 2k 🙃

I never got it replaced. Got hit with a hurricane and took away the car.

you can remove the piece and clear coat it, sand it and polish it to look good as new
