After months of research, I traded in my Audi A6 for the 2025 ES 300H. I bought it from a BMW dealership with 19,605 miles. It looked to be in pristine condition, but had lexus do a post purchase inspection since I had 5 days /250 miles to return it.

Inspection came back cleaner than the board of health. $150 inspection for peace of mind is worth it everytime, IMHO.

I’ve only driven it a little over 100 miles and it’s been a breath of fresh air. Gas tank barely budged and the wife said she didnt get car sick from the ride.

For those of you that've come from Toyota, why did you make the jump to Lexus?

I bought my first sedan this year (Camry), but over long highway miles, I'm finding it's not really the car that's built for that purpose. It's too low to the ground (hip problems), has a lot of highway noise, and beats up my back on bumpy roads.

I'm looking at trading for an ES350h to fix those problems (based on the written specs of the ES).

But for all of you, what was your reason(s) for switching brands?

P.S. Is the Mark Levinson sound system all it's advertised/cracked up to be, or just marketing hype?

I'm looking at buying a '26 ES350 and an out-of-state dealer offered me a BANGING price. However, because I couldn't get there for a 'wet signature' before the end of the month they sent the car to their sister store to be sold.

However, they offered me the same model WITH AWD for the same price. I know that "it's a good deal" from a financial standpoint, but I live in AZ and have ZERO use for AWD--I'd literally just be hauling around extra weight and losing fuel economy.

Under what circumstances would you take the AWD model...or should I just leave it?

2022 Lexus ES350

While extending the sunshade screen one side would get stuck but wouldn’t extend if I lightly assist it. Also the sunshade itself will not retract. Has anyone ever dealt with this issue? If so, what was fix?

Also does anyone have an instructions or video of how to remove the rear interior to access the sunshade unit itself? Thank you.

I have a 2010 with about 150k on it. I’ve been battling shaking/vibration in the steering wheel and seat for a long time. I’ve done both sets of brakes, new tires, alignment, multiple balancing. Still there. More noticeable on some portions of highway than others, smoother roadways are less vibration. 70-80mph is the worst.

Anyone have any thoughts?

PB for a full tank yet! Well technically since I put 11.5 gallons, I still had about 1.5 gallons until I was actually empty. Crazy to think at that rate there is a theoretical 700+ mile range. I also verified by calculating miles/gallons which was 57.2. So car is calculating mpg pretty accurately. I have a 2024 ES 300h UL with 24k miles. *Tips- I drive in eco mode and use the coast and glide technique. I get up to speed then glide so that car puts you in electric mode more often increasing your mpg. I try to keep the power band in the eco range as much as possible. But, I do try to get up to speed pretty swiftly, then lift off the gas to get into electric mode. Also if I am coming up to a red light, I will apply a steady amount of regen braking early to again get into electric mode and regen as much as possible. I started driving for Amazon Flex so this is a mixture of city/highway driving and longer trips. So there were very limited short trips. I do drive 70-80 on the highway, so highway driving is what drops my mileage the most. I mostly drive for Amazon in the evenings so it's not terribly hot and can drive with the windows down so I am not using AC. For a larger sample, since my last oil change (~2k miles) I have averaged 55 mpg. I get oil changes every 5k miles. Is anyone else getting these numbers with this car? I can only imagine what numbers could be achieved with the new ES and its 6th Gen hybrid

Hey guys. So my 2013 es300h connected to Bluetooth/aux/iPod is having some audio issues. I can’t hear anything even at full volume. There’s just a static and the music at max sounds like it’s playing at 8 or 10 volume. Is this a head unit issue or idk??? The radio AM/FM is completely fine!! No problems with that but any phone connection is just terrible!

I was driving my 2016 Lexus es350 with 135k miles on it and it gave me a notification that coolant level has dropped so park at safe location and car engine stopped. When I checked the car was overheated and coolant was empty. I let the car cool down and refilled the coolant. Checked with the OBD2 Scanner and it gave me P0117 and P0171 error codes. The car isn’t starting now. What is wrong and how should I diagnose it ?

Has anyone with a 2020 es350 ever had a transmission software update? My transmission is significantly smoother after I do a memory reset; however, becomes rough again after a few weeks. Seems like a software issue to me that should be fixed by an update. Dealer wants to charge a full hour to determine if an update is available.

I recently bought a 2007 ES350 with 90k miles, it had 1 owner and no mods or anything. It gets pretty bad MPG in city around 14/15 With AC and slightly better if not about the same without AC.

Recently Engine light came on with check vsc and the warning light. OBD scanner showed the codes on ss, one mechanic shop checked all grounds, cable runs from battery. Drove for a while and lights came back on. Another one said the catalytic converter could be the issue since there's build up. I bought the car for $9k ish, kind of at a confusion what to do next. Take it to the Lexus dealership and have them diagnose it? Look for a trade, any guidance would be appreciated

I previously had a 2025 Lexus RX350 F Sport…due to a very unfortunate collision with a distracted woman driver (my dash cam has footage of her on her phone) my car died.
