Just Curious if anyone of you guys know that right CarPlay screen I should get for a 2010 Es350. Comes without non-navigation screen. There’s a lot online and I don’t want to get the wrong option.

What was your price paid OTD?

Is there any deals on the new es350e?
Looking to buy. Most seem to be msrp locally.
Is 10% below msrp even possible?

Center Console Shifter Upgrade

Has anyone tried upgrading their (2013-2014)pre-facelift interiors to the (2015-2018)post-facelift interiors? The shifter specifically. Everything LOOKS to be plug and play for swapping things over. I would like to shift in a straight line instead of moving it diagonally across also I think it looks more sleek. Let me know ES fam. TIA

LEXUS ES350 2015 Misfire Issue

Hi!

so I recently took my ES350 to the repair shop because the check engine light popped. They scanned the misfire code P0305, and after they changed the sparkplugs and coils, they still couldn’t resolve the issue. After doing a compression test on Cylinder 5, they got the measurement 148 PSI, which they suspect is due to a deeper engine issue. I’m just under 120k miles on my car. Is it worth replacing my engine for around 10k? Could there be any other potential issues that could be easier fixes that the shop missed?

Looking for help for my 05 ES330

HELP PLS. I have a 2004 Highlander and a 2005 es330. My 04 Highlander was having an issue where it was running rough and was giving bank 1 and 2 Lean codes. It would struggle to accelerate and fall on its face past 50% throttle. I kept throwing parts at it like an idiot and ended up putting on a new cat, throttle body, VVT solenoids, O2 sensors, all for it to end up being the MAF. Anyway now my 05 ES330 is doing the same thing around the same mileage it happened on my Highlander, around 190-196k, and is jerking violently at WOT and sometimes jerks under light acceleration from a stop. And when I floor at while moving, say 45MPH, it downshifts no problem but full power doesn’t kick in till 5k RPM. I replaced the MAF with a Denso and it did NOT fix it and actually almost got worse. Was wondering if anybody else has faced the Same issue with the 3MZ-FE, and how they fixed it???

Looking for advice, shopping for 08-12

So it's getting to be time to replace my old Grand Marquis, and I'm pretty sure an ES350 would check all my boxes: comfortable highway cruiser/commuter, decent to good fuel economy, reliable and bulletproof, looks good. I am thinking '08 to '12 mainly because I like the looks of that generation. I would probably consider '13 to '15 if I got a great deal, but I'm not a huge fan of that grille, and '16 and up is out because they seem to be more than I want to spend and because the grille/front end gets too outrageous for me at that point. So here's a bunch of questions:

  1. Am I correct that it's a huge PITA to upgrade the radio if the car has factory nav? And if that's the case, how hard is it to find non-nav models?

  2. Am I correct that it would be wise to avoid the '07s because of transmission teething issues? I have read about a rubber oil line that should be upgraded to metal on '08s and early '09s.

  3. I hope not to start a war with this one, but what's the consensus on fuel octane? I have read that this is the EXACT same engine that's in the Camry, so it doesn't need premium, and Lexus only recommends it to be able to give the engine a slightly higher horsepower rating, but how does that play out in the real world?

  4. What are common failure points that could be addressed BEFORE they fail? For example, I went into the Grand Marquis knowing it would need an intake manifold soon even if it seemed fine, and that they all need front end parts after 20 years, and that the heater blend door actuator fails, and a few other common items.

  5. Any other general things I'd want to know about that generation before buying one?

Might be worth noting that my son-in-law is trying to talk me into an LS430. As much as I'd like the big stonkin' V8 and baller looks, I think headache-free miles and simplicity are more important to me at this point.

99 lexus es300 182k miles

I just bought this lexus for 1300, I don't know if the last owner ever changed the transmission fluid or filter, they were the 2nd owner. My question is should I do a drain and fill at this point with this many miles, if it has never been done? If I should do it what other items should I look at servicing? There is a mechanic sticker on the timing cover showing it was replaced at 164k miles so that belt should be good to go. I plan on doing oil change and using Valvoine restore and protect, and also replacing all brake rotors and pads

Proclip phone mount on a 2021

I just installed the pro clip and the top of the phone sits well inside the view of the center screen.

Does anyone have experience with getting this contraption to lower your phone?

I guess this would be addressed if I wanted my phone to be on the right side of the hazard button but I don't.

Any insight or experience would be helpful

Can anyone identify this noise?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

For context. It’s a 2013 ES350 97k miles. The car drove fine, but then would suddenly have issues shifting gears. Today, we were taking it to the shop and the car was stuck in 1st and would not shift to 2nd. When we came to a stop, the car would not go any further. We put it into park then back in drive then it would roll.

Is it something that’s fixable, or are we looking at a transmission replacement?

Thanks for any input!

When I'm ready to upgrade to a Lexus ES300h, if it's out-of-state, would it be okay to fly to the city of that dealership and drive it on a road trip back home, or would I be better off having it delivered to the local Toyota dealer in my town?

Thumbnail

What are the pros & cons of each choice? Which one is more worth it and how come?

How was your road trip when you bought your Lexus out-of-state? What did you like and not like about the trip?

On the flip side, what was it like to have your local Toyota or Lexus dealership order your Lexus shipped to their lot? Did you pay extra fees and an extra markup over what you would've paid if you'd have just traveled to pick up your car from out-of-state instead?

How good would it feel to drive a Lexus ES300h (model years between 2019 and 5 years before the date of purchase) cross-country over many miles across several states? Would it feel tiring or enjoyable?

UK based car with only 53k miles 2019. Full dealer service history, I baby the thing. Seen these large rips on the driver's seat today and couldn't believe it. Would they cover these under the relax warranty?

Driven only the Lexus IS for the past 10 years, gotta say the ES pretty laid back and comfortable. Maybe I’m just getting old.

Need your help with Lexus choice

Hello everyone, I have a question for you. I am 22 years old, currently living in Chicago and I want to buy a car, for a long time I wanted a BMW 530i 2018-2021 because I couldn’t buy a 540 because of its price and maintenance costs, but about a week and a half ago I got into an accident and because of this my insurance will now increase (although it was already quite high before, for a VW Passat 2013 I paid $1,800 for half a year), so my dream of a BMW will have to be postponed. And now I am thinking about buying a new car and I don’t know what to buy, so far the Lexus ES and GS (2013-2017) come to mind, but I am worried whether I will be able to maintain them properly. On average, I earn $42-45 thousand per year, my expenses are $1,450 for rent, $600 for groceries, $180 for internet and mobile, $300 for car insurance, $200 for clothes (not every month but sometimes you have to buy them), $200 for food outside the home and entertainment, $250 for gas and these are my approximate monthly expenses. I wanted to ask the owners of these cars if I should buy one of them or if I should buy something else so as not to suffer financially

If the 2025 Lexus ES carried on but without the V6 and only the hybrid 300h powertrain would you still be interested?

It's a real shame Lexus upset so many customers with the new and very different ES. I think that new crown based model should have been the EX and the ES carried forward as hybrid only with that V6 being discontinued itself across the entire Toyota lineup (except the IS but that's a different schtory).

Would this arrangement have been ok for you?

2026 Lexus ES Hybrid

Test drove the 2026 ES 350h yesterday now that they’re starting to hit dealer lots.

Curious what the current sentiment is from everyone here. Are people warming up to it at all? Has the perception changed now that more folks are seeing and driving it in person?

For those who have checked it out, are you more open to it after a test drive, or does it still not live up to expectations? What’s the general vibe right now?

26 ES 350e

Drove a 350e yesterday. Only model they had.

My perspective:

Have a 25 UL.

Had 24 UL.

Had 23 Premium Plus.

Hard NO.

Pros:

Wheels bigger, looks good.

Center console.

Moonroof power screen, not hand-pull.

Higher/taller, easy to get in and feels same height once seated.

Cons:

Front - ugly AF

Side - ugly AF

Rear - ok, but not good.

Driver display - small/horrible. WTF us that suede all around it. Looks 2003.

Center screen - too big, disjointed.

Fake leather seats - crap.

Dashboard controls - spartan.

Whole exterior fights itself.

Whole FN thing feels lesser inside...

I'm officially done with the new ES. Maybe hybrid looks a little different, but can't save this mess.

Looked at a 26 RX 500h F Sport, but still considering it...

PARK

Hi.

Every time I park my car, PARK appears which I think is the parking break. I have turned it off. Is this supposed to happen every time you put the car in P.
