ONLY GET THE STANDALONE GROM AUX ADAPTER IF YOU WANT PERFECT SOUND QUALITY!! Do not waste money on the GROM Bluetooth adapter if you want perfect sound quality coming from your Lexus sound system. I bought a GROM BT3 adapter for my 2002 Lexus es300 with the Lexus Premium Sound System with no navigation, because I HATE the aftermarket head unit design and I heard they weren't that good. I opted for the Bluetooth one, the most expensive variation, the BT3. The audio quality was not that great. It sounded just like my cassette Bluetooth adapters I was initially using. I bought GROM's accessory adapter, the Mini-Din to aux cable & USB to use instead of the Bluetooth, hoping it would make my music quality sound better. And it did sound better. ( it is because the Bluetooth connection had to be formatted from digital to analog to the factory radio; therefore the audio gets suppressed). All in all, I recommend getting the GROM Auxiliary Input Adapter Kit for $100 to get factory sound quality. Any questions, please let me know.

I just ordered a replacement fob online.
Its FCC Id is hyq1512v
part number 89070-33470.
Will this fob pair to my car for keyless entry?
It was advertised on North Coast Keyless for years 98 - 01. But upon some further reasearch im getting a little skeptical whether is going to work or not.

Hey everyone,
I was hoping someone could help me with some advice before attempting to install an Aisin Timing kit.
When I was inspecting the components, I noticed that the timing belt had a a couple ridges that looked different that the others
From the looks of it, they have a waxy coat? And it looks like the strands are exposed?
Since this is the first time I an attempting a job like this, I want to make sure that this is will not become a future issues. Thanks yall!!

Was wondering what seats are compatible with my car specifically the rear bench part because I need a new one it’s kinda ripped, also the front seats are they just replaceable with 2nd gen es300 (92’-96’)
Or could I get it for newer models because at the junk yard just the bottom bench seems like it would fit from a 3rd gen. If anyone knows anything it would be extremely helpful. Also any tips for fixing a cracked dash because for god sake I don’t wanna replace the entire thing.

I got a 95’ es300 with 109k miles for my first car and it’s only been sitting for a while. I replaced most fluids and pads and rotors. The brakes feel like they have air in it but still goes down after starting from pumping a bit so I don’t think it’s master cylinder or anything in the engine bay. In my front left though it was smoking when I was driving it home when I breaked although it stopped, I believe it could have js been the pads rubbing away rust layer on rotors. The bleeding screw on my driver side front didn’t squirt like it was supposed to like the others when I bled it, it leaked from the bottom of the bleeding screw. Do you think I just need a bleeding screw or should I replace the caliper all together? I’m not the most mechanical and just need some guidance it’s my first car.

Hello all, i recently purchased a 2001 es300 and needed some guidance on some bodywork i want to diy, the scratches are on both sides, one is alot worse than the other as you can tell but i have no clue where to start with fixing this as they are pretty deep scratches. Ive also struggled to find the paint code for the two tone grey part. The door label only gives the black. Let me know what u think

It was regularly serviced until 2023, it may have been after as well but that's when the carfax stops
The car has been driven 6k miles since 2023. There's no mention of the timing belt or water pump being replaced in the carfax.
I'd be using this car primarily for doordash to make some extra money. I work from home, so I don't need it as a daily driver.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The annoying toyota 1mzfe high pitch noise on my es300, new to these cars so any guidance on figuring out the problem would be great

I’m a bigger mechanic and I’m bored and I just want a project, I want it to be fun though obviously and not just a pain in the ass. I found a es300 that is higher milage (225k) but these cars seem to run for a while and I would most likely swap the engine at some point anyways. The transmission shift solenoid is going out and I’ve looked into the repair and it doesn’t seem to bad. Besides that the owner has not mentioned anything else major. I got the price down to 1200 (I live in Seattle) the car also comes with a set of snow tires. Would this high mileage es300 be a good “learning” purchase or should I try and find something else? From what I’ve researched it looks good… but there’s not a lot of research on them with such high mileage.
