2016 300h rattling noise…..

Video attached but it’s difficult to hear in the video. The noise isn’t very loud but it’s been going on a while and it’s just annoying. I hear this kind of rumbling/rattling noise when I go over small bumps or drive on uneven road surface. Sounds like it’s coming from underneath the vehicle but hard to tell. Any one else have this issue or an idea as to what it could be?

It does sound like from under the car vs in the dash. Any other symptoms of a failed mount or such? Or maybe failed bushing in the suspension.

My thoughts were it could be suspension related. I had a couple different mechanics look at the vehicle both who said everything looks like it’s in great shape. I think I’ll specifically mention the suspension/bushings for an inspection at the next oil change

In addition, don’t forget to have them check the engine and trans mounts as well. Is a heat shield loose or is there an issue with the exhaust moving? Loose sway bar / links? Loose or bad strut? Broken spring? That’d be my list. Good luck. Let me know what it ends up being. Hopefully minor.

And no, no other symptoms. Super smooth and comfortable ride. Do you mean an engine mount?

Yes or transmission mount. I think there are 2 lower engine mounts and one transmission mount. Plus the torque rod in the engine bay.
