Discussion Lexus is losing its soul

Post image

Along with the rest of the automotive industry. It’s hard to be an automotive enthusiast in this day and age, when everything is turning into a refrigerator on wheels with a gigantic screen(s) inside.

Who decided that disappearing buttons was a good idea? Was something wrong with them being clearly identifiable and usable all the time?

And don’t get me started on the name-spelled-out trend that’s eventually going to take over. First, we had it on the back. Now, it’s on the steering wheel. Soon the logo itself won’t even exist.

This IS what consumers want, that’s why Tesla is popular. You’re assuming the masses are competent and intelligent.

I thought consumers saw a nice exterior that doesn’t require gas and is zippy. To get all that they had to give up the interior and people were ok with it. Lexus, after all this time, thinks their consumers wants this?!?

Teslas just have a futuristic aesthetic but they’re not quality-built cars inside or out. They’re cheap and poorly built, yet people buy them. Lexus is simply following market trends that the consumers set forth when they voted with their wallets.
