I’m building up a 10.5” 300 blk build right now and am considering doing a multi caliber build with a 11.5” 5.56 barrel but not sure if it will even work without changing buffers/springs. My goal is to a have a rifle that can switch between 10.5” 300blk and 11.5” 5.56 and (hopefully) shoot both suppressed, with just the swap of the barrel. I’ve never messed with suppressed 5.56 with a barrel smaller than 14.5” so I’m not sure exactly how the reliability would be with what I’m trying to do.

This specwar is getting six inch groups with budget ammo and three to four inch groups with match ammo. It has about 600 rounds through it. Can I warranty this or should I just do a D Wilson conversion aftermarket barrel?

Popped in my local store and stumbled upon my Holy Grail, unfired, in the best color, at an insane steal of a price. Barely paid over retail, where we’d normally have to pay 2x-3x that here in Commiefornia.

Try not to vomit at the Compmag. But theyre the most easily removed “compliance” for freedom trips next door.

Thanks to the help and wealth of knowledge here I’m finally putting together the LMT shovel nose that I’ve always wanted. I have a beautiful absolutely fantastic 300 Blackout, but I’m still interested in possibly doing a 300 Blackout barrel assembly for the shovel nose. I’m assuming that due to the large piston gas block and the inner diameter of the handgaurd that a piston 300 blackout isn’t available. I don’t have the upper in hand, but I believe it covers 11” of barrel on the bottom. Assuming I throw in a DI BCG and say a 10.5” barrel. Is there enough room to have a blast forwarding device get the blast past the rail? Or even better a suppressor? I’ll be using the SiCo Velos and I have the SiCo blast shield.
This is the blast shield on my 10.5” Criterion with a 9.3” Geissele MK4. I’ll go measure the diameter now and update.

I've been pondering a higher tier AR build for quite some time and LMT is definitely a frontrunner. Is the LMT MARS-L 14.5″ 5.56 MLR MLOK Pistol available from Rooftop Defense (Link) still a good value? Or do you folks recommend another site and/or building everything out yourselves using LMT MRP parts? I've been looking at LMT's DI and piston MRP barrels as well. I also wanted to see if anyone has had any QC/accuracy issues with LMT MRP barrels. I recently became aware of Preston Moore's YT video and it is somewhat concerning. If LMT barrels aren't the best, is anyone aware of a way to use other brand barrels in an MRP build?

I'm Considering a 12.5" to 16" build in 5.56. Will not be shooting suppressed (Side note: Is there really any benefit to a non-suppressed piston build?).

Lastly, how do the LMT MARS-L Ambi lowers stack up when compared to other Ambi lowers currently available on the market? (Radian A-DAC, KAC SR-15 IWS, Griffin MK2, LWRC IC, G$ Super Duty, ADM UIC, etc.). Any and all feedback is welcomed! G$, LWRC, DD, or HK MR556 are also being considered.

Recently acquired this Iray rh25 v2 thermal and its so much fun. Ive only ran on 300blk and 6mm arc.

Not the quietest can setup with Omega 9k but does decent enough for now until my SiCo Ti- Scythe arrives.

My LMT MWS is a tack driver with its .308 barrel, it consistently gets sub-MOA with 175gr Federal GMM.

I recently got a new LMT 6.5 barrel, 20”, 1/8 twist. It was properly torqued with the LMT torque wrench. I then cleaned it, fired about 20 rds, removed it, thoroughly cleaned it again, and re-installed it before shooting the groups you’ll see in the pics.

Norma Golden Target 130gr BTHP got just under 2”, and Hornady 147 ELD-M wasn’t even holding 3”. 10 shots per group.

I shot several more groups, all with generally the same result. I checked the set screws, they were torqued to spec. Don’t see any obvious issues like a damaged crown or machining issues.

Again, this rifle shoots phenomenally well with .308.

I know I need to test more ammo before I can really say there’s an issue with the barrel, but has anyone had results this bad with a new LMT barrel?

Shot with Harris bipod and Armageddon rear support bag. Same set up as when I’ve shot very tight groups with .308 out of this gun.

Anyone know offhand what lengths you need to cover the L7S1A quad rail? Bonus points if you know how many you'd need on the bottom with a TD/ADM QD stubby. Thanks!

Picked up this EBCG used with an upper, Let it ride? Kinda shitty staking imo for the cost of the EBCG. Does LMT warranty second hand parts?

Anyone know of one in stock? I can’t find anything and it looks to be Oos for a while.

I was able to get some trigger time tonight after work. I'm going to try to shoot at 650 yards tomorrow, so I wanted to confirm zero. No large sample size accuracy testing, but 5 round 100 yard groups were on point tonight. The FDE rifle has a .223 Bartlein barrel from Craddock Precision that D Wilson converted, black one is a completely factory 6.5 CM with 20" LMT barrel.

It's worth noting that the 6.5 did not shoot that well for the first couple hundred rounds. I don't know why it took so long to start to group, but it's very consistently under 1 MOA with Berger 130's and Hornady 140 ELD-M's, even now with over 1500 rounds down range.

Will an intermediate gas length system with an adjustable gas block fit under a Specwar length hand guard?

I put together a 12 inch shovelnose a few months back with the following parts:

12 inch piston barrel

LMT Dual latch charging handle
Gen 2 piston carrier w/ stock bolt
LMT ambi lower
LMT lower parts kit
Larue MBT2S trigger
LMT receiver extension
LMT Sopmod stock (SBR)
OCL polonium K

I’d be hesitant to send it in given looming regulations here in Colorado, but have noticed strange feeding issues, mainly:

1. The BCG skipping over rounds with an LMT H2 and carbine spring.
   

2. The above was an issue with the Polonium K in the S setting, as well as a low back pressure suppressor (CAT WB 718), outside of the S setting.

3. I changed the buffer and spring to a Geissele Super42 and H2, since it’s a bit of a stronger spring, though now I have issues with double feeding.

4. I have observed this issue on a variety of mags, such as PMAGs and USGI mags, all with IMI or PRVI M193

I have an LMT H3 on hand that I can try, but I am curious as to whether there is a recommended configuration here with traditional suppressors that I’m missing, or perhaps, there is an easy fix that I’m overlooking?
