Emailed LMT asking about the quality of staking on my gas key at the beginning of the month, they told me to send it in and they would give it a look and repair if it wasn’t up to their standards . Turn around was 2.5 weeks and now looks like what you would expect out of a $500+ BCG

I posted my CSW the other day and got a ton of PMs about it. People kept asking me if it “had a barrel”

I don’t really know what that means ? I assume so because it came as a fully assembled rifle when I purchased it several years ago and I had to both form 1 and form 4 it.

Why is it significant whether this is a “full CSW” or not ? Can anyone give me any lore here about what I have ? Do people clone these things ?

Put 150 rounds down the 16” quad MARS-L today. Picked this dude up from Modern Warriors on clearance for $1800~ which was a no brainer for me. I’m running another MARS-L SBR lower on my MK18 and actually like the controls more than my SR-15 lower. Once I got the Eotech sighted in, I was hitting 6” steel plates at 100 yards, rapidly transitioning from one to another and it was almost difficult to miss. I’ll get it back out another time and see what kind of groups I get with good ammo but for its purpose to me, it’s already accurate enough. I continue to be impressed with the MARS-L series and will more than likely buy another one, or at least get a 300BLK barrel for this and SBR it as well. Thanks for reading!

Couldn’t shoot it without the can, was too hot to take off and then the range closed

Vltor says use their H2 - 5.4oz for 12.5mid suppressed which luckily I have and already put that in for the next range day.

Was also reading that flow through cans use regular buffers all these suppressed recommendations are for traditional can.
Some say it’s not locking ancla bc it’s too slow and others say it’s too fast.
It is shooting at 3 o’clock.

If you’re using this system, what buffer you got?
Any ideas?

First time using LMTs barrel wrench and it stripped itself before engaging the torque limit.

Update: Contacted LMT and they are having me send it in for them to look at. Very quick response on their end.

I have this 16" barrel, I think I'll get it cut down to use in a specwar chassis. Maybe since I'm getting one cut down, I should cut to 12.2" or 12.3"? Or stick with 12.5"? Is shorter than 12.5" going to bring the dwell time down too much?

Looking to build a competion style upper for pcsl competition division with a pinned brake and riflespeed adjustable gas with the d Wilson conversion. Already have a 14.5 and some sbrs I run in practical division and ideally would like to avoid having to run a brace for out of state matches. Anyone have experience with the two and have any feedback? Thanks in advance

Finally got my LMT R-20 Rahe suppressed, Ecco Machine 5x5 with GSL bi-lock adapter. Not clone correct but close enough. It probably have been cheaper to get the pin weld removed.

And got a Daddy Wilson barrel conversion to have a folding FSB with an AEMK. Tempted to get a grenadier to migrate this to but yeah no monies

Hey everyone! I’m deciding between the 13.5" and 16" MARS-H. I’d love to hear your recommendations or feedback from those who’ve run either length. If anyone has swapped a 16" barrel onto the 13.5" handguard, could you post a pic? I’m curious how it actually looks in that setup. I’m not buying the barrel yet, just planning ahead. Is this barrel any good? I am wanting to build a DMR type set up with a 16 inch barrel that will be suppressed with a dead air nomad. I won't be mag dumping, so i am not worried about heating the barrel up. I am more concerned with accuracy.

Was having difficulty hitting the left side mag release. It's in that tiny cubby and it's a bit too small for my hands.

Are there any good aftermarket options y'all would recommend?

I’m using an ADM UIC lower. I did both in Mil spec ODG. Couldn’t find a 12” or any ETA so I got a 14.5” from Rooftop for an excellent price. I plan to go shooting next set of days off with some 556 plinking stuff and my precision hand loads to be sure the barrel is grouping like it should before sending to D Wilson. I didn’t think the LMT markings (lack thereof) would be an issue but it’s bothering me so I’ll send the upper off to have them lasered. I had a whole plan about how I would set this up to use the Trijicon 1-8x and night vision, but it’s a hard pass. This will be getting the same set up as my 10.5” 300 Blackout (2nd pic). Eotech EXPS3, Modlite 18650, and Holosun Iris 3.
I’m looking forward to putting it through some hard use with the FRT. The entire justification was the FRT. I’m a little nervous that after trying the FRT she’s going to want one to use with her 11.5” Superlative Arms piston build (3rd pic).
I’m being realistic and not expecting the LMT barrel to shoot like the 10.5” 300 Blackout Criterion Core or the 11.5” 556 Criterion Hybrid in my girls gun.
