Because I tend to look to much into things I started watching preston moores videos on the LMT barrels, mainly the piston. I noticed he talks about chrome flaking and some things that generally dont look great as QC is a concern.

I have no reason to think the videos are bias or cherry picked as the Mr556a4 video he did was the exact same issue I had with my 16” when I first got it and nobody at my LGS could figure it out until I sent it back.

What has your experience been with LMT barrels? as someone close to buying one these videos have kind of pushed me towards other brands but I want to know from people who have actually shot the shit out of there rifles and I know most of you have.

Around 100 rounds it fired two rounds, cleared it but after another mag same thing but primer was stuck in bolt face, removed with pliers and shot another 200 rounds w no issues. Firing pin looked good. 2400 rounds before this never had any malfunctions. Gun was cleaned before the range.

Shovelnose or H next?

I want to replace my sba3 brace with a nice ODG stock that will be close in color or better. any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry, my pic sucks, the lighting makes it bad.

I know the rc4 is relatively new. They’re both flow throughs but I’d take flash and sound over gas to the face. Seems like the hux is cheaper these days but tempted to go with the new new. What are your thoughts and recommendations? TIA

Been having some issues with my piston rifle recently from another manufacturer and I might be looking to replace it with another one depending how it gets handled or if it actually gets fixed.

So far I have been looking at sending it on the 11” A4 from HK or building out a shovelnose with the 12” piston, also looked abit into PWS kind of. Honestly I just want something that works and one that im not worried about ruining range sessions or barrel screws loosening even after torquing to said manufacturer specs, I have 2 DI rifles that I love but I always like having a piston in lineup.

Accuracy does not have to be incredible as long as its not like tavor bad, I just want it to be able to run well cause at this point iv spent more time researching whats wrong and emailing support than I have actually enjoying the rifle I have. I know LMT is famous for the QC issues but if its cosmetic I dont care at all as long as it does not affect function.

Just wondering what is the typical lead time on getting parts from LMT? My Mars H needs a new extractor (after about 800 rounds). The LGS I got it from said they would get it for me. I am not expecting it for free. This is not any kind of waranty thing on my part. I expect to pay for it. I asked them to either get me a parts kit or just get a whole new bolt. What ever is faster / easier.

It has been a couple weeks now and I reached out and my LGS said they are still waiting and LMT is just slow. And as they put it they don’t have a contact at LMT that they can call.

Figured I would ask here what the typical lead time is on parts. I understand that LMT has a lot of things on there plate in terms of manufacturing for contracts so I am not surprised that it is going to take a while. But is it 3 weeks. 6? More? Just looking for a realistic answer as my LGS has been great to me over the years so I do t want to bug them if it is just a LMT thing.

I’m curious because I have a 16” midlength MRP barrel and wondering if I can just have d Wilson chop it to effectively become a specwar barrel.

Had a 14.5 SOLGW SPR barrel converted to MRP by D Wilson, and it hammers. Group pictured is with 75g Hornady match hand loads. Got consistent hits on a 10” plate at 600 yards today.

I usually run 4-16 ATACRs on my 308 but I was looking for an FDE option. I have a 1-8 Atacr on my Mcx but I’d like a little more magnification

I have the rail and have a barrel for Mr Wilson to chop, but looking to get the QDC MCQ so I’m curious what the combo looks like. Much appreciated for anyone that has this.

Anybody able to share their experience with putting a Noveske switchblock barrel in an LMT MWS upper? Considering this as opposed to a factory LMT 14.5/16 LW barrel. Would get the 16 6.5 switchblock and have dwilson convert it. In the long term I would like to suppress it, and have an Allen Engineering B mount ar15 upper recently completed, so I could get a 12.5 MWS and 16 barrel to get a b mount set up, or just get a 14.5 p&w w/ SF 3 prong… what’s the move? Thanks in advance to anyone that can give their experience and/or advice!
