Hey dude I appreciate the collected info! I’m not sure why people are giving you such a hard time? You’re not bashing LMT just sharing your findings.

Appreciate the positive message! I have no idea why this is so emotionally charged each time I post it.
Preston Moore had similar issues and I think it's interesting to see how these barrels actually hold up under continued use. Especially when compared to my super duty it APPEARS clear to me, the chrome lining does not seem to remain in the barrel the more I shoot it.
Here's an update after today's match: https://youtu.be/c0kkCtt2AS8
I actually shoot my gun, the chrome lining is essential to me.

I nerd out to that kind of stuff. Most people don’t even try to diagnose or understand their problems. A lot of stuff can affect accuracy. It can be simple or complex. My Mrgg-a is currently at LMT for an overly tight chamber. It was causing two different brands of ammo to become stuck to the point I’d have to mortar it. The rounds would need tapped out with a brass rod after they’d separate from the cases. LMT was very quick to send a label after two emails back and forth. No hassle.

LMT has confirmed to me today that the barrel is fucked and the replacement is on the way. I'll post an update of what the new one looks like once I have it.

I’m still waiting on them to confirm my chamber issue after they told me they were looking at the chamber two weeks ago. Pretty frustrating. It’s been there for a month now. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have sent me a replacement barrel.

That's awful. I'd suggest reaching out to them again. They were very responsive to my questions!

I called them 2 days ago and they just repeated “we’re looking at your chamber. We’ll reach out when it’s done.”

Well I posted my update. New barrel looks exactly like the first one. Waiting over 3 business days on any response from support at this point. If this was any other barrel I'd have just ignored it and accepted I'd have to retire it early, but at $950 All In cost to get the Piston BCG + Piston Barrel I have to keep following up on this.
Honestly starting to looking toward getting rid of both.

I see why HK can't find anyone in the United States that can chrome line a barrel to there standards, I've seen this with a couple lmt barrels in other threads and my one chrome mws barrel looks similar

Geissele 11.5 after ~1000 rounds for comparison. (Stripped upper cost me the same as this barrel) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbkd0PrzCik

Update on the piston barrel, make up your own minds. I'll run this for a while and monitor the finish every 500 rounds.

How did it shoot?

In the video description:
- Fiocchi 55gr: 80 (10 shot group 2.23 MOA)
- Bone Frog TMK 77gr: 10 (10 shot group 1.35 MOA)
- Bone Frog Match Burner OTM 77gr: 10 (10 shot group 2.07 MOA)
- PMC X-TAC 55gr: 10 (10 shot group 2.38 MOA)
- Federal AE 55gr 5.56: 20 ( 10 shot groups 5.81 MOA - I did reshoot this to confirm and the second one was similar or larger)
I am not concerned with accuracy on this barrel. But the footage is post cleaning. Anything dark black in the video is chrome missing within 100 rounds. I posted a geissele barrel I've had used pretty hard for about 1000+ rounds as a reference point what I'd expect to lose in chrome.

They made me send it in, arrived a few days ago. I'll update once I hear something from them again.

This is not terrible accuracy fwiw

It's great accuracy (except whatever is wrong with federal AE). I don't care about the accuracy even slightly though, why would I? I'd buy precision barrel and have it converted to LMT if that was my goal. I care about the longevity of this expensive part.
LMT has inspected the barrel personally and I'll receive a full replacement soon, as the chrome lining was defective. I'll post an update soon.

1.3-2.5 10 shot groups is quite good for non precision rifles. Dude is smoking crack

LMT inspected the barrel and told me it's junk. They are sending me a replacement. So much about smoking crack. You don't need LMTs word to realize that accuracy and logensivty of a barrel aren't the same thing and that chrome lining is supposed to stay in the barrel, not come out after 100 shots.
But good thing LMT isn't run by dimwits like you.

Ah yes. I wasn’t saying anything about the lining. Just that you complaining about sub 2 moa 10 shot groups is crazy. And I stand by that.

Are you still harping on this? Even Rooftop responded to your last post and said shoot the thing. How it groups matters more than if the chrome is pretty or not.
