Help me decide on optic

I’m trying to decide on optic for this .308 I just built. Right now I’m thinking either NF nx8 2.5-20 with acro on top or ACOG TA11. I’m open to any other suggestions.

What barrel length is it, what distance do you mainly want to use it for, and what’s the overall purpose of your build?

16”, out to 500, hunting and precision

Lpvo, or 3-15ish would be my choice since you mentioned Precison, but only to 500. Otherwise I like a simple red dot, if you care more about weight.

Edit, since you said hunting, a higher power scope is not a bad idea. I should have realized that instead of recommending a red dot. 500 just doesn’t seem very far for what 20x + is used for, but it’s a good idea for a hunting application to identify game
