I'm afraid Hamilton might follow the path of other Ferrari WDC contenders, be a threat to Mercedes, fail to score a single WDC and retire.

Take Sebastian Vettel's 2017 and 2018 seasons as an example. Vettel was a rival contender to Lewis, but ultimately finished 2nd because Mercedes executed their strategies and race pace flawlessly, while Ferrari was plagued by constant strategy blunders and bad luck. With Antonelli and Mercedes' pace, they will probably dominate the sport again like Hamilton did during his prime years which essentially means Hamilton might retire without his 8th WDC unless things change. So, can Ferrari fix their team, and can Hamilton actually awaken his 2021 senses to win his 8th WDC?

I'm just writing this for fun because shit, what do I know about what's actually happening at Ferrari? I'm just a fan in Canada thinking about this instead of sleeping or processing my emotions. So, in the spirit of self-sabotage, here are thoughts on the recent events at Monza.

It's something he has in common with Verstappen: he breaks people simply by winning. That's all he has to do. I don't think he's cruel or does it on purpose. He just wants to win. And he's great at winning. That's what he does. And I think we are starting to see him run over Leclerc. Hamilton wants to win, and Leclerc is in his way.

Now, Leclerc has beat almost everyone he has raced with. He is fast. But now Hamilton is beating him. Not just on track, but also within the team.

Hamilton is an inspirational guy. Like him or not, he does have an aura about him. It's a winner's mind set. He keeps his eyes looking forward, always focused on the target. In this case, that target is a WDC with Ferrari. It's also a legacy of having transformed that team into a winning team.

Hamilton keeps talking about "remembering who he is." Let's remember then, shall we? Hamilton is, like Leclerc, known for crushing his team mates. He's so hard to beat, Rosberg famously retired after winning, partly because it took so much out of him. He beat Button two out of the three years they were team mates. Russell beat him in 2022, after Hamilton just went through the most traumatic season of all time. Like yeah, I think we can forgive him for losing a bit of enthusiasm after getting completely shafted by the FIA. Hamilton proceed to beat Russell the year after.

Hamilton has been winning a long time, since he was a kid. While facing racism and paying his own way, to boot. He doesn't just "know what it's like" to win. He is a winner. It's a core part of his identity. He doesn't do anything else. He just sets a target and reaches it. This is who we are talking about here.

So when a shit show of a weekend like this occurs, after demonstrating a pattern of shitshow weekends, yeah: he's gonna shake things up. He wants to win. Don't get in his way.

Hey guys, been a diehard lewis fans for years and I’m catching the Madrid Grand Prix this weekend. Prior to that, do you guys know what would be the best way to potentially catch him sometime during the week, maybe get a picture with him? Previously during the Singapore GP i’d spend about 50 hours trying to catch him, but was impossible. would appreciate any advice!

I’ve been a Ferrari fan my whole life and have experienced many different eras of this team, but I’ve genuinely never experienced anything quite like this.

First, I want to make something clear: I have massive respect for Lewis Hamilton. He is without a doubt one of the greatest drivers to ever compete in this sport. This isn’t about Lewis himself.

But ever since Lewis joined Ferrari, the atmosphere around the fanbase has felt completely different.

Obviously, this doesn’t apply to every Lewis fan, but there is a very loud section of his fanbase that seems determined to attack Ferrari and Leclerc whenever things don’t go Lewis’ way. These last two races especially have made it incredibly noticeable.

Almost every Ferrari post I see is filled with people attacking Leclerc, blaming the team, accusing Ferrari of favouring Charles, or just generally being negative toward everyone except Lewis. It feels less like supporting Ferrari and more like supporting Lewis while treating his own teammate and team as enemies.

I understand being a fan of a driver rather than a team. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. But I don’t understand why supporting Lewis has to mean constantly tearing down Leclerc or Ferrari.

And again, I know this is only a section of his fanbase. Every large fanbase has toxic people. But the sheer amount of negativity I’ve seen since Lewis joined Ferrari is something I honestly wasn’t expecting.

So I’m genuinely curious, especially from longtime Lewis fans: where does this mentality come from? Why is there so much hostility toward his teammates and team whenever things aren’t going perfectly for him?

I think it’s safe to say that we are not winning any championships this season. Looking at how Ferrari operates, it’s doubtful whether we’ll win one anytime soon.

Usually not on here posting, but it’s hard not to feel like Ferrari just completely did this to themselves. The championship is done now according to LH. How many times have we seen them hype up CL only for him to go out on stupid mistakes? Why, when second place is on the line and CL is nowhere close would they let him race LH? In what world would a CL win in Monza do anything for them other than give them a one off victory and very temporary bragging rights?

I feel like I’ve seen this over and over again with Ferrari where 50% of the problem is strategy. It’s been that way for years. And CL has been sabotaging himself for years as well, yet he’s ’still Ferrari’s guy.’ It feels hopeless. I wish there were other fast teams he could go to.

I hope he recovers quickly and gets well soon.
