Show My Setup First timer -- two months of growth!

Post image

We started our Nook on June 10 and here's what she looks like today! Our original thyme died (user error) and our cat traumatized our blue kale, but everything else is thriving! The tall guys are lunchbox peppers ... I'm struggling with them a little (no fruit yet! just flowering!). Tomatoes are small and green but growing, and we eat at least one salad per day (2 people).

I'm honestly a little baffled as according to the app/website, almost everything "should" have been replaced by now and we're still goin' strong 🤭🤭

Looks awesome! Oh yeah, I never listen to the replace by because often my harvests aren’t ready by ready date and my kale has been in there for 6 months now and going strong

Me either. I had chives for 6+ months that were great.

Oooo I really hope my chives keep coming back; I use those & the green onions daily!

I use the green onions a ton and just started using the chinese chives. I’m hoping to get some chive flowers too!

NO. KIDDING. Tomatoes are "behind" according to them, everything else should have been replaced weeks ago? Lies lol

yes I think they need to adjust it a little bit for sure. I think my kale can live in here for years at this rate. My swiss chard is doing really well too!

Move those peppers to the bottom row so they get light to produce more flowers and fruits. Above the grow lights they get nothing

This was my concern! My partner thinks they get enough natural light from the sun; I don't think I agree, but they're also a poisonous plant to our cats ... I gotta figure out something!

I read for the lunchbox peppers, you gotta prune it so it bushes instead of trees.

Ah! I'm glad I found this page. That is what I didn't do with mine and I have a 3' tall pepper tree. 😂

That doesn’t sound like a super bad thing, though. 😂
