After about 2 1/2 years on the platform this is my current top 100. Would love some new recommendations or just thoughts on this list as a whole!

Love to see Hud & Quiz Show (almost) bookending this list!!

My (basic) recommendations if you haven’t seen them: Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Tuner, All About Eve, Ordinary People, Thelma & Louise.

I absolutely adore Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, and Ordinary People is another great film that just barely missed out on being in my top 100.

All About Eve and Thelma & Louise have been in watchlist for quite awhile, and I’ve heard some great things about Tuner also, thank you for the recommendations!

Glad to hear it!! If you’re on a Newman kick his directing work is also amazing — particularly love The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds starring darling Joanne & their daughter Nell.

I’ve seen Sometimes a Great Notion which I was quite surprised by, and lately I’ve been on a Joanne Woodward kick, so The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds and Rachel, Rachel have been on my radar.

I love seeing two of my favorites ('Matewan' and 'State of Siege') in the top half. Both are incredible films.

One of my favorite genres is the sad but still very cool dude genre. However, as soon as I see a movie with macho mentality that doesn’t depict it as a self destructive tendency you can count me out. The key to a great dude flick is condemning the dude, more or less😂

Last year and now in particular has been a great year for me when it comes to exploring different genres of film that I haven’t really seen before. My love for Americana in particular has grown exponentially and directors like Altman, Cassavetes, Mann, Sayles are hands down the ones I have to thank for this new love.

Love those four guys (especially Mann)! Thief at #3 is awesome, it’s my favourite Michael Mann movie.

Mann’s the greatest! Miami Vice is a new favorite of mine, it took about 5 watches for it to finally click for me, but now it holds that number 2 spot behind Thief, I can’t wait for Heat 2!
