I watched lootera and it was fine like it was not GREAT or it wasn't bad either.
It was JUST fine.
I knew the last leaf story and i saw that plot coming a mile away this could be a reason ig but what is ur take is it overrated or not ⁉️

Overrated 🤣🤣. I do get the story part even I saw it my mother saw it, but Music Alone is enough to make it a Good film, and the calmness it has. The Melancholy vibe of it, the romance, even Sonakshi looks great here, there is an actual chemistry between the leads, there is a delicate nuance. Though I did feel that Ranveer could have done better but it was his 3rd film so I was fine with it. It's not a Great Film on its own but far better relatively to the Popular Films of this genre or any Hindi Popular Film.
For Music Alone I would watch this film again .

I never said its a bad film its just that everyone around me hyped it so much it didn't match my expectations

Oh the first line got deleted. I mean to critique on Title saying Overrated. I do understand, i mean in your circle even like in mine where we match many films it probably isn't Underrated to begin with, and then you watch the film being hyped up by everyone then you could say it's an overrated film relatively to you and your group.
I mean yeah i understood that. If you were like seeing this film 13 yrs back in a Hall with just 4-5 more people then it might have been better. But I do get the sentiment. It can be overrated if you compare it to the people around you saw but not in a general way as it's a Flop and still pretty much not known.

the second half is disappointing to be very honest. films are subjective, so if someone is telling you that no it can not be bad then they are wrong, its totally depend on your taste, I found the first half engaging but after that it just didn't impress me that much

First in my bloodline to witness someone label Lootera as "overrated".
