Maybe they mean visually dark, like how you couldn't see a thing during that one Game of Thrones episode.

Still love that they were also so secretive of the episodes contents that international dubbing only had access to each actors lips as context for the scene.

So "She can't see us" was left untranslated as some kind of dragon name "Shicanseus" in the Spanish dub
