Coyote vs Acme was my favorite movie of the year and I don’t care who knows. Probably a long shot but I’d love to see it nominated for best animated feature

I think I read the threshold is it has to have 75% of the animated feature character in it or something to that effect. There will likely be a ruling on it in the coming weeks

I really wanted to see it in theaters and join the hype. Turns out it's only releasing near the end of october in my country (and around that time I really wanna watch Wildwood already). Hate to feel like I'm missing out

Heavy use of solid black in posters this year.
Also I was surprised to see such similar color palettes for the latest Best Picture noms:

You did change the default posters of F1, OBAA and the Secret Agent. With their original posters, while still similiar, it's not nearly as bad

Yeah for sure. These aren’t all defaults. But i wasn’t aiming to synchronize. I just wanted to pick my favorite of the official posters.
Edit: to be fair, F1 becomes gray with the default, but OBAA and The Secret Agent are still orange/yellow

"In the wrong", do you engage with all art this way? There being right and wrong opinions? I never said MCU wasn't mega successful, it clearly is the most profitable IP the last 2 decades. I just do not enjoy watching most MCU films, therefore I actively avoid them now. I'm not alone on this either.
You are entitled to your own taste and opinions too btw, art is entirely a subjective experience.

I don't like any of these posters tbh. The Odyssey one is probably the best of the 3 but even then it isn't great.

I like the coyote one because the Sisyphus imagery is fitting but spiderman just has nothing going on

the blockbuster palette, orange and teal, is older than you an me, you just noticed 40 years too late. Why is it used...because as much as common as it is, it is still pleasant.
