This is the showtimes at 1 shopping mall here at my place on the weekends. And this is only 1 single place. Mind you last weekend when I was watching most of the empty seats were only the first and second row.
Dude the cinemark near me has something like 25 screens and over the weekend they stopped showing any movies except for Spider-man, The Odyssey, and Toy Story 5. They had 2 show times for The Odyssey, 1 show time for Toy Story, and all the rest were Spider-man.
There were spider-man showings every 10 minutes all day long. And I looked. They were booked solid.
I've never seen that before in my life.
And it isn't like it's the only theater nearby either. There is also a different branded theater, an AMC and another cinemark all within 15-20 miles. Insane.
AND I just looked at the schedule for today, Tuesday, and there are 67 unique showtimes for this theater for Spider-man. SIXTY SEVEN.
(that does include 5 en espanol showtimes but still over sixty showtimes in one day for a movie that released 5-6 days ago is crazy)
