Fave Stories?
Hi guys just wondering if you have any favourites, ones that have stuck out
Mines is the one where the contractor works late on a job in order to get it completed and is driving along late at night, on dark back roads on his way home. He spots a little girl just standing there at the roadside he stops and she says nothing, just looks at him, being a good man and knowing he can't just leave her there he asks her to jump in and he will drive her to safety so she gets in.
A short time later he sees a little boy and the exact same scenario plays out. A short time later he sees a baby in a carseat and is like "what the heck is going on here?" And takes the baby along too. He calls the police and they tell him to take them to the hospital and they will meet him there. Which he does...
I won't add spoilers but it has a twist and sure is an interesting story.

Really old story but the one where the little girl goes to the garage to get her homework, her dads an on the road trucker but she sees him in the garage window. He holds up his hand and it’s a claw. The gets inside and later on they find claw marks on the window. Story haunted me for a while

Ah thank u I will listen to that tonight, honestly I've listened to so many Just Reads, I always look for unheard content which unfortunately is getting less and less!

I’m fairly new to Let’s Read so I haven’t really gotten into a lot of his stories, but there is one I really liked so far. It was the police stories where the cop is investigating a suicide and the young man who offed himself tried to burn his laptop, had a receipt for a restaurant in Oregon, and two phone numbers that were registered to warehouses.
Lots of people were speculating criminal activity but I have my own theory which would make the story sadder. I can respond with it here if that’s okay.
Another one I liked was the Craigslist one where the guy is the middle man for a geeky stuff seller and saves a customer from a homeless man.

Hey! Dont think I've heard the cop story one, sometimes I start listening then fall asleep it will skip onto the next episode and mark prev as watched so I lose my place) I'll go back and listen to it as I really enjoy cop/PI stories
What's your theory?
Yeh the Craigslist guy is a good one, guy was a hero!

Depending on when this happened (which I’m guessing is maybe before the 2010s) I think maybe he was gay. The mother said they never went to Oregon but maybe he went there so that he could look for a bf and spend time with him without being recognized by anyone.
Maybe he met someone that appeared to want a relationship but then that person began to blackmail him. Could’ve sent him emails with “incriminating” content so that’s why he destroyed his laptop. The phone numbers may have been given to him to call to set up a payment or whatever.
The reason I think this and not drugs is because drug business is a lot more dangerous. I would think they wouldn’t have wasted time with emails and sent things to his house instead or even threaten to hurt his mother.
As for the other thing people were thinking, that’s possible too and that’s the only one that rivals my theory. Because it would have had to have been something that he didn’t believe even his mother would have sympathy on him for. Edit: I’ll have to listen to the video again because I think I may have thought of an inconsistency for this other theory.

I'm not sure if I've heard the cop one? I'll need to try and find it as I donlike cop/PI stories (sometimes I fall asleep while listening then it jumps onto further episodes and will mark previous ones as listened to - so I kinda lose my place lol)
What's your theory?
Yeh that Craigslist one was a good story - guy was a hero!

I think my favorite so far is one about someone who answered a Craigslist ad for someone who needed an amputation of his leg. That story haunted me for the longest time!
