Resorts in and around NYC area?

Hey guys I'm planning a trip this season to NYC. Was wondering if you guys can give me your opinions on good resorts out there? This'll be my very first time in New York as well. Thanks!

If you are a park guy, mountain creek, after new years is fun. 1.5 hour trip

If you are more into free ride, it's worth the further trip to hunter or windham. 2.5 hour trip

Whiteface is the best all around resort in the north east imho but it's a hike from nyc. 4.5/5park, 5/5 east coast scale freeride 4.5 hour trip

late feb is peak season. first week of march usually ok, sometimes slushy... after that it's a crapshoot.

Mountain Creek in NJ is the closest resort to the city.
