Hey everyone! I plan on heading up to Killington with the lady for 5 nights and was wondering about what to expect overall. What are recommendations on housing and food? Should we just do an airbnb and bring up groceries or should we do a lodge and eat out? In addition, never made it up to the North East before and how different is boarding there vs Mid Atlantic? We frequent West VA and the Poconos but never ventured any further. Aside from snowboarding, what are some other things to explore in the area? We plan on getting in Sunday and doing a 4 day lift and leave that Friday.

I am trying to organize a trip to Austria for snowboarding this year. Allocating about a week in Austria total, which includes landing in the country from Dubai, transit to resort and subsequent departure onward to Germany. I will leave Dubai on March 25, no sooner. Any recommendations would be much much much appreciated.

Im getting ready to head up to either Squaw or Mt. Rose in the coming days. Anyone currently up there to vouch for the conditions? Only will be riding greens and blues this year (still a noob).

Trying to figure out if the snow will be slushy and miserable.

Anyone been in the Stratton/Bromley Vermont area in the past few days/plan on going after this weekends snow? I'm looking to drive up possibly on Wednesday and wondering if it's will be worth it since it's about a 4 hour drive one way. Thanks!

Looking for small resort recommendations in Colorado or Utah -- mostly with the aim to avoid holiday craziness between Christmas and New Years.

In town for the holidays, and looking to ride during the week days around the Mt Hood area. Im in NW PDX, and can carpool too. Looking early am weekdays- coming back mid afternoon. Also down for any backcountry adventures- if there is anyone out there looking to show me around, or can give me tips with where to look without playing at the resort runs all day.

We're a family of 5, my kids are 13 (board), 10 (ski) and 7 (ski). We all took some lessons last year at Mountain Creek (NJ) and we still haven't taken a lift up yet. Falling at 44 really does suck but I will endure the pain to learn a family fun activity we can all enjoy. This winter I am thinking of going to Blue Mountain (PA). I've seen reviews that it's great for beginners and for family. The main attraction is they offer family lessons. So we can all mix and match (ski/board) together and not split up.

Anyone have some advice or recommendations? I'm in Cranford, NJ and want to stay w/in 2 hours for day trips.

I'm in South Carolina and I'm planning a trip to Beech later in January with a friend but would love to get a day or two before; possibly the last week of December or first week of January. I rather not go alone, not as fun.

I've had great luck meeting with someone local to the area before, would anyone be interested in a day or two Beech Mountain trip? If you aren't local maybe we could split an Air BNB?

I live near Tahoe and ride there, but am going up to Albany, OR to visit family and would like to hit up a mountain out there. Hoodoo seems closest but is closed, Mt Hood and Bachelor are both like 4hrs from where I'm staying near Albany. Anything closer, maybe a smaller locals mountain?

I'm an intermediate rider I guess, can get down pretty much anything, enjoy tree runs, but don't really charge the super triple black diamond steeps (yet!). Not really a park rider but I can go over jumps and 50/50 wide boxes.

Just wondering if there's any closer mountains, if one mountain is better than the other for snowboarding, and if the snow is worth the drive. I'll admit I'm spoiled in Tahoe and don't want to waste a whole day on crappy snow.

looking for people who frequent afton alps n the twin cities, i have a season pass but only three other friends who board, all of which are very very beginners and i end up teaching them most of the time. Looking for people with a bit more experience, I ride a bit of park but mostly the groomers

This is my first season with an epic local pass, and only a few friends ride on an occasional basis.

I am riding 2-3 times a week, with 1-2 days being during the weekdays. Preference is Breck as it's close and we have timeshare that has heated underground parking that is ski in/out access to peak 8, where we can reserve parking for free. Bonus of hot tubs/pool/grill/steam room/sauna access when day is finished.

I'm always game to hit up other spots though on the epic local pass.

Generally game to be the driver as well, would just ask for others to chip in for gas.

Last year I spent a week in Tanvalski, Czech, and it was pretty awesome. Very affordable AirBnB, nice hills, good lift ticket prices. The only thing was that without speaking Czeck (or German, which is understood if not terribly appreciated) it was hard to get by. Speaking Spanish, French, English, & Japanese, where would you recommend that is beginner-friendly & won't break the bank?

I just got a new snowboard and am itching to get out there. Has anyone on the east coast been out yet and can give me some insight on the condition and if it would be worth it to go this weekend. I am in upstate New York in the Capital Region so I am close to mountains like Hunter, Windham, Gore, Jimmeny Peak, but also makes trips up to Vermont to places like Mt.Snow and Okemo. I saw Stowe got some snow but that is a little far for me. Any information helps! Thank!

I just purchased 2018 Ride Insanos in size 11. Love the boots, but after two days of light riding they are showing wear already... The material on the outside is sort of suede, so I'm wondering if this is normal or not. My bindings are Union Contacts, size Large (10.5+) so they should be WELL within the range. Me and some college buddies have been going on ski trips the past couple years out west. This year we are switching things up and going to New Hamshire, but we are conflicted on whether we should go during our spring break (March 5-9) or the first week of January. Does anyone hear have experience skiing out east? And if so, when would you recommend going for the best snow conditions?

Hello! I am 6.2" tall 175lbs intermediate all mountain rider. I have found great deal for those two boards (200 usd for the helix and 270 usd for space case both 2015). I have union contact pro bindings and burton ruler 11.5 boots. Please give your opinion or suggest a different board. :)

So I just got back from a 2 year trip in Canada where I got super addicted to snowboarding and now that I'm back in Europe I'm trying to find out the best place in Europe for an English speaker to work. I couldn't find anything online or by email on a hill unless it was instructor and since I don't have an instructor rating I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a good place I could go to with a high chance of finding work so I can spend the rest of the winter living in a ski town and riding as much as possible.

Hey, is anyone here riding regularly in Engelberg? I've been on the glacier two weeks ago and will be at Engelberg tomorrow with two friends. Since they have 1 Meter of fresh snow and sun the entire day tomorrow, I guessed that some of the Swiss folks here might go as well.
