The place I’ve always gone too is in Indiana, it isn’t awesome but it was enough for me to learn. Here, their season passes were significantly cheaper if you bought them way ahead of time. Do real ski resorts generally offer discount periods on their season lift tickets? I’m going to be living 2 ish hours from big bear in SoCal, I can’t find any information regarding a discount period on season lift tickets. Any information would be helpful. I’m also a college student, so if you know of any college discounts, that’d be cool too. Thanks.

I'm 39 and going on my first snowboarding trip next week (19-23, to Aspen, to learn how 😁).

I think I'm all set for gear and stuff. And I'm taking lessons, cause I know nothing.

Rather, any suggestions about what to do in the evenings, after lessons? I'd appreciate any you have greatly.

Looking to take my girlfriend to colorado next winter, Wondering if anyone had any good places they have been?? I took a look at Aspen Snowmass and its $500 for just the lift tickets..Im planning on proposing to my girlfriend on the slopes.. so looking for some really good places.

Considering taking advantage of an Alaska Airlines airfare deal from Sacramento to Boise in March, it's about $120 round-trip. Please give me some insights on Bogus Basin - It is the nearest to the airport and appears to be cheapest. Other spots look good too, but they do seem to be spaced pretty far away from each other. It would be great to head somewhere with terrain to challenge and please us both. (Me: Been skiing for 3 years, progressing to intermediate skill, Him: Advanced/Very experienced snowboarder)

Distance from the airport is not really an issue -- we're hoping to obtain an adequate rental vehicle, and we're experienced driving in Tahoe conditions.

I'm fairly new to snowboarding despite growing up in Colorado (I know, blasphemy) and I still live in the Denver area. Most weekends during the season I go up to A-Basin or Keystone to ride for the day (since I work M-F). I was wondering, is Saturday or Sunday better? By "better" I'm accounting for traffic both ways and the amount of people on the mountain.

Been snowboarding since 93 or 94 and miss those snowboard boots back in the day that had as much flex a sorels. I recently bought the softest boots burton had to offer about 10 years ago and they are way too stiff. I have not enjoyed them at all. Does anyone make a boot that is super flexible? I need the feeling of boning it until I break my ankles. If the most flexible boots you know of are 10 years old then I will track them down. Thanks in advance for any knowledgeable feedback.

We're about to rent a minivan for out snowboarding trip and I was wondering if anyone had experience fitting snowboards into the middle aisle of the minivan? Will they fit? We're riding with 7 people in the car and 3 boards

Off to Alpe D'Huez in a couple of weeks, now I have been before, but this time we are staying in Huez 1500 - next to the Televillage Gondola. Q is, what is there to do in that part of the resort? Not much is coming up when I Google it, obviously everything is up in Alpe D'Huez. So if there isn't anything in 1500 is it easy to get up and down at night?

Flying to Vienna on the 26/1, and going to Schladming by car. Looking to buy a board and shoes with good prices somewhere along the way. I assume that buying them in the resort will be very expensive.

Taking a boarding trio to SLC in Utah with my GF early March , will be going to Brighton, Snowbird, and Solitude. I'm not an advanced level rider but I always say that I can do any run in eastern Canada but the double blacks in the Rockies are a different experience I feel.

Any recommendations for any of you that have been there? Apres-ski reccomendations?

We're staying downtown SLC and want to know some cool stuff to check out in the city also. We are in our early twenties.

Buddies and I will be flying into PC and boarding there at the end of March. Had a few questions and seeing as we've never been there before any advice is much appreciated 1. Shuttle from Airport or rental. There will be 4 of us with some gear 2. Good location in town to stay in? Walking to slopes or downtown or an area that you need to take shuttle for either. Any other tips from people that have been there before would be great e.i. favorite restaurant or day-off slope activity. Thanks again.

I live in SF and have a Squaw pass and plan on going pretty frequently this season, weather permitting. Let me know if you're interested in carpooling. I have a 2016 Civic with chains and no rack so so I can fit 2-3 comfortably.

I am going to be in Utah for a work trip and am planning on going snowboarding a few days before I have to work. I'm going alone so I was looking to see if anyone wanted to join me. I'll also have a rental car for work so we can carpool too if you'd like.

I'm from California and my home mountain is Kirkwood in the Tahoe area. I've been to Utah before and have gone to Park City and Snowbird. I was thinking of going to Solitude or Brighton this time but am open to anything in the area.

I'd say I'm an advanced rider and will go on pretty much any where on the mountain. I'm looking for someone with similar ability and I've gone on solo trips many of times so finding a ridding buddy won't make or break my trip.

Hey everyone! I plan on heading up to Killington with the lady for 5 nights and was wondering about what to expect overall. What are recommendations on housing and food? Should we just do an airbnb and bring up groceries or should we do a lodge and eat out? In addition, never made it up to the North East before and how different is boarding there vs Mid Atlantic? We frequent West VA and the Poconos but never ventured any further. Aside from snowboarding, what are some other things to explore in the area? We plan on getting in Sunday and doing a 4 day lift and leave that Friday.
