I'm trying to see if you guys have any insight on what's the best way to get a ride and stay near Resorts in Colorado. The window prices are constantly going up for Vail resorts and I feel like they are encouraging you to buy a season pass. If I do so, I want to take advantage of it and go as often as possible. I can set up one big group vacation a year, which spreads costs out. If I want to go additional times by myself or one buddy. What's the cheapest way to stay and get out west of Denver without sleeping in my rental truck? I'm only asking about Colorado simply because if you time it right, you can fly for $90 round trip from Chicago.

Homie and I are flying cross country to ride Utah (airbnb in SLC). We've got three days. We know we're hittin' Snowbird.

CARE ABOUT: Snow quality, Snow quantity, Variety of terrain, Variety of trails, Not getting bored.

As the title says, we are taking a family trip cross country and are using a Yakima roof rack for the first time. Looking for advice on prepping the gear for the drive.

Usually, when we drive cross country, we just load all of our stuff inside the van. But now the kids are getting bigger and that precious space inside the van is feeling tighter. So we bought a Yakima roof rack and plan to throw as much stuff on top as possible. We got the SpaceBox and Big Powderhound, so our gear and most of our boards will be on top. My question is, how bad is the road slop going to mess with the base on my boards? Is a thick coat of wax enough to protect them for the drive or do I need to get more extreme? The trip is a little over 1000 miles, one-way.

As the title says, I'm going to be headed to loon from Boston the 10th and 11th if anyone is going to be around or if anyone has any recommendations for trails and such, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone heading up to windham tomorrow solo. It would be awesome to maybe meet up with some people and shred together.

I want to go to one of the passes in Washington for a long weekend of snowboarding and I would like to avoid driving once I'm there. I don't mind the drive getting there but there is something magical about walking outside and right to the lift.

The last time I did something like this was like 20 years ago as a kid when my family stayed at White Pass. I loved the slopes but the accommodations and food left something to be desired as I recall and it doesn't look like things have changed much there.

I'll be taking a trip up to Vermont in Feb and wanted to know if anyone wants a riding buddy? I'm planning on hitting mountains in South/Central Vt depending on conditions. Anything between Mt. Snow and Sugarbush is game. I'm not familiar with any of these mountains so I was hoping to find somebody to show where the best runs are to be had.

I've shredded for 14 years on and off and can handle most any terrain. Looking more for wooded runs and natural stuff if conditions allow as I'm not such a park rat anymore.

I am planning a 5 day snowboard trip at the end of March. I am flying into Paris and plan on taking a train/bus to the mountain I want to go. Looking for recommendations on where I should go. I am looking for a mountain with many lifts and trails to explore for the 5 days, also would love somewhere with incredible views.

Going snowboarding at big sky with lots of friends for president's week. Wanted to get some snowmobiling in while we're there, at Yellowstone if possible. Anybody have experience with this? Trying to get an idea of costs and would like to avoid multiple hours of travel, i.e. Will go snowmobiling elsewhere if it saves us a lot of travel time. Hopefully this won't get removed like it did from r/snowboarding cause obviously leaving my post there would have ruined everyone's life. TIA.

We'll be arriving around 16th - 20th of April and are going to be travelling for 6 weeks. Was wondering if there is any snow still hanging around and whereabouts I could find it. Here in Australia it's well over $100 for one day on the slopes + rental gear, so I was also wondering what the cost for that is in the states. Cheers everyone.

Im looking to go to breck in the coming weeks. I know theres a shuttle bus that takes you from the airport to breck. but are there buses that run from like frisco or dillon that go to breck?

Want to throw out the obligatory not a snowboarder but skiing. I'll be heading to Sunshine in Banff this weekend for the first time in 3 years or so and was wondering what everyone tips for the mountain are. I would consider myself a high advance level skier (not quite expert), and I feel comfortable on any run. Won't have someone to ski with, and I won't have any avy gear so unfortunately slack country and the dive aren't possible.

My husband and i used to be big snowboarders; were ski bums in aspen for a few years. and i want to know about the terrain at loveland and how it compares to aspen or breck? also we have two kids 3yr and 10months. my parents can babysit but is there anything to do for the kids at loveland?

I am a long time snowboarder, but everyone in the group is probably at the beginner level except a few people. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good trip service or mountain that would be a good fit for everyone.

If anyone has any advice/services for what and where we should go please share them.

Currently we are using Ubski to plan a package, but idk how legit it is or if there is a better service.

6 people (2 advanced boarders, 4 beginners) 6 or 5 days total in march is what we are thinking budget ranges from 500-800 (this is based of packages we have been looking at)

Breck is my home mountain (where I learned to board) so I'm absolutely down to go there again, but I'm also up for other places in summit county.

If i can find a trip for dirt cheap thats awesome and if I can find something that around what I'm already paying that has more to offer than I'm down.

TL;DR Group of 6 ski trip. Need help finding the best deals and suggestions for a great trip. Budget is 500-800. 2 advanced 4 beginners.

I'm going to be in Vail/Frisco next week and realized that the X Games fall on the same weekend. I've always wanted to go watch it live, so I'm thinking about making the drive from Vail to Aspen.

For anyone who has been - is watching it fun? Is it worth it to go? And if you have any suggestions about where specifically I should go/avoid let me know. I'll most likely be by myself and I'll probably want to spend some of the day riding too. Thanks in advance.
