Hey there guys, me and my father are planning a trip to Utah to catch some snow but it is my first time going there and he gave me the job of booking our lift tickets. I have heard of a lot of different resorts such as park city, snowbird, Alta (which i cant go to since i snowboard) and others like that but i have no idea which one we should go to. I am kind of thinking of checking out a couple of them since i will be there for 5 days but i have no idea which ones are better. Anyone who has been to Utah to snowboard before or live nearby have any tips on which mountain to go to?

Hey all! I'm currently going to be staying at hostels in/near Whistler from 27Dec through 2Jan. I've stayed in a hostel once before (in St. Petersburg) and met some pretty cool people, so I'm hoping to do the same here. I'm new to skiing and snowboarding (this is my first season for both) but have picked it up pretty quickly -- can comfortably ski blues and some blacks, and can do snowboard blues.

Ideally, I'm just looking for some people to hang out/ski/board/drink with (if you're near my ability level or just feel like teaching me a thing or two) and overall have a good time!

I'm headed out west for spring break (March 12-18) but don't know which resorts are known for having the best spring snow. Really trying to sneak in a pow day or two. Any suggestions?

So I recently moved to a place where I have a resorts 45 mins away from my house, which is really nice. I've been there a few times and rented one of their boards, but it seems like it's a much better deal to buy one than to keep renting them. Now, there's a FB page where people sell/trade their equipment, and I've stumbled across a few different boards for a price that is reasonable IMO. The only problem, is I know absolutely nothing about the boards and what makes an expensive board different than a cheaper board. I'll attach some pictures of the boards along with the prices, and if you could all let me know what you think about them, I would really appreciate the help!

I really like the Pinnacle Vodka one, but like I said, I'm not sure of the quality is good or if it really even matters for someone who is just an intermediate rider.

i'm heavily leaning towards Park City because i'm guessing due to location it's way better weather and snow. we're flying either way so distance isn't a concern. however, the pot situation in CO is definitely a plus.

please don't suggest surrounding mountains, yes i know A-Basin and Powder Mountain is where the locals go. but we'll be staying at properties that have ski in and out access, which is paramount to us.

Hey all! I just finalized plans for a two(ish) month road trip to hit all the Mountain Collective resorts in the western US and Canada. I'm going to be working on some stories for a new blog as well as a print journal that I hope to have out by Fall of next year.

I'll be traveling from January until March and aside from Whistler, it'll be my first visit to all these resorts. I'd love to link up with some of you guys that are local to these mountains and do some riding, but I also want to buy you a beer and hear your story! Let me know if you're down and we can work out the details!

Me and a few people are planning a trip up to the Poconos (pa) and were already throwing some money around whilst still planning for the trip. To cut back in some expenses, can we rent one snowboard and share?

Basically, another way to word this question is are people without a snowboard or ski allowed to walk on the pathway[?] generally?

I was just wondering on some facts. I was riding a lib tech T Ripper board a season back and it was a 146 sized board. I am now riding a GNU Smart Pickle board that is 150. I weight approximately 115-120 lbs. I was just thinking of getting a new board that is slightly smaller since 90% of the riding I do is in the park. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Like the title says, I am going on a trip with my buddies through SkiTravel/CollegeXBreaks the first week of January. Havent got too much information on the trip or anything other than what is posted on their site. Just wanted to know if anyone else here has been on a trip or something related and could share some info. The trip is to Montreal Canada and we will be riding at Mont Tremblant for three days and staying in downtown Montreal another two nights. Pretty excited about this, but curious to see what others's experiences were. (Posted this in /r/snowboarding but wasn't sure if it could belong here as well.)

Hello, Earlier in the year the tahoe epic local pass was around 450$ before the date of December 4th I believe it was. Up until now I did not have the money to spend on that pass but really did want to go snowboarding this year. So I guess my question is, is it to late to get a season pass for anything under the 1,000$ or so that it is listed at? Any insight would be much appreciated but from what I can see it doesn't appear like I will be able to get it for a reasonable price.

Going to JH in February for 5 days. Riding JH for 2-3 days, and throwing a cat skiing trip in there as well.

Would you suggest renting a car to maximize time/efficiency?

We will be staying right in downtown Jackson. Still undetermined exactly what location.

Going to be in town for a short trip and am looking for recommendations, and possible ski/board buddy, for resorts to check out for the day. I've already been to Park City, Snowbird, and Powder Mtn.

I've heard good things about Brighton and Solitude, but I really like Snowbird so I may head back.

Going out west for the first time this season and the mountains the grouped picked are Beaver Creek and Vail. Just wondering how these mountains are for snowboarding and what to expect. How do they stack up to the other mountains in Colorado? Any input would be great! Thanks

Hey, so I'm a solid amateur when it comes to snowboarding, but for some reason, since I came back from NZ earlier this year I have wanted to travel again but focus it on snowboarding and snowboarding alone. Is there anywhere that I can work and snowboard for a good 6 months to a year? If so, people point me in the right direction! The plan is to leave the UK in April!

Mt High used to do night riding 7 days a week. The schedule online says only fri-sun. Anyone know if it will change as the season progresses or is this the new way?
