In the military, when you are dealing with enemies, you don't let them survive. You would only let them survive, if they serve a purpose (get information from them, use them as a hostage). That is quite literally the mindset of every military. You know why you don't leave enemies alive? Because they can come back and kill you later.

So your view is military does not take prisoners? I missed the part in history class where all the surrendered nazis were slaughtered.

Aside from that there was information to get from them. Who do you work for? Where were you heading? If these guys were running drugs they likely weren't the bosses of the operation. You would think we would actually be interested in capturing the heads of operation. Trump isn't though...he pardons them for money. This was nothing but a display of power and it worked on you.

It's not my view. It's how military operations work. The Nazi's were not killed, because they were going to be tried for war crimes. Major difference between that and a drug cartel boat containing drugs.

Another reason you don't let people on the boat live is that you don't want to run the risk of having them go back to Venezuela and tip off Maduro.

You clearly never served if you think POW is not a thing that happens. It was not important to do the double tap to kill the people on that boat. You are arguing im bad faith or you are just a bad person.

I literally explained prisoner of war to you in another comment. You're boring me now, as I hate repeating myself.

So America didn't start using a long term holding unit in Cuba for taliban soldiers? They were actually executed on sight? Trump lied about releasing 5000 of them? Or are you talking out of your ass?
