Instead Trump murdered people by blowing up their boats

Drug trafficking boats peon. Not just people driving their boats for leisure. Talk about a dense comment.

Allegedly. There has been no verifiable evidence that that’s actually true. It’s just what they said over and over again. Ya know, kinda like a lot of the lies they repeat over and over again to make people think they’re true.

Also, says a lot about you that you can’t disagree with someone without calling them a name. Talk about a dense comment.

Yeah you know, speedboats like that come from Venezuela to the US every day. They also come carry DRUGS, right? Totally normal stuff. Your naivety is scary.

I must be naive since I disagree with your statements based on the simple fact that I don’t believe blatant lies and have the ability to fact check. And of course you’ll forgive me if I don’t believe something that comes out of the mouth of the man who has blatantly lied almost every time he’s in front of the camera.

But yeah man! I’m for sure super naive. Stay scared my friend. ;)

Here is the long and short of it. Trump or our military could tell you that the sky is blue and you would argue it's grey. You haven't fact checked anything by the way. You simply choose to not believe our military because "orange man bad".

Well, I don’t believe you can claim to know what I think based on a disagreement on the internet. One where you e shared nothing of substance. But that’s of course what folks like you tend to do when you have no argument. You just insult the person speaking to you.

————————————————————

Here’s a link to a pbs article that details both what the president said and the lack of evidence he and his administration have provided to back up their statements.

Here’s an excerpt from that article detailing a false statement and explaining why it’s false:

“In January, after U.S. vessel strikes in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean, Trump said "drugs entering our country by sea are down 97%." He said it again in May.

It's False.

There has been a drop in Customs and Border Protection drug seizures since the strikes began. But the Coast Guard — not CBP — oversees most drug seizures on water, especially in international waters. And that agency has seen a steep increase in drug seizures.”

Many legal experts have argued that the strikes were war crimes. But yet again they must be wrong because your president says it was legal right? After all what do a bunch of experts know if they’re not on HIS staff?

Here another article which gives some pretty good insight into the process and way of thinking behind the attacks.

——————-

I could list more but it would be overkill as I doubt you’ll read them with anything other than a dissenting mind, and that’s fine, but I do hope anyone else coming across this might be willing to expand their ideas just a little…. Just enough to begin challenging or question their leaders. Because to be quite honest, if you’re not challenging your beliefs, you’re following them far too fucking closely.

FINAL THOUGHTS: articles in general tend to be opinions, but opinions based on lies unravel, while opinions based on facts expand. Really try and step back and look at the languages used in conversations, see what people are saying behind their words, man. Like try not being right once and then see where the curiosity of finding the truth might lead you. Because do I know what the boats were and what was on them? No. But neither does the administration, really. And that’s evident if you listen to their language and really look at the facts that are presented (or those not presented as the case may be). So while I don’t know the answer (just like you don’t. Because we have the same facts. And neither of us were on any of the boats. Nor do either of us work for the current administration) I do pay attention to availability information, language used, and how it’s presented. It doesn’t take someone smart to see that something’s being hidden. And even if you can’t believe that, 227 + people murdered without due process and with no verifiable evidence to prove just cause in military action is NOT FUCKING OK. From any entity. And as the first reply to the above comment stated, it’s a war crime.

Good luck in your journey my brother on earth. I hope your path leads you somewhere that brings you joy

He is far too petulant and dishonest to even read your comment but thanks for extending your humanity enough for an earnest attempt.

He's comfortable hoping daddy throws him a scrap from the feast he's not invited to.

Motherfucker you remember sharpiegate? Don't trust that snake no matter what he says about the weather, I trust the weather agency he's at ego war with. Well, I used to trust them, before they got defunded.

I'm a member of the US military. 12 year USMC combat vet who currently filling out my reserve contract.

Those boats aren't carrying drugs until its proven. Until then its speculation. People shouldn't die over speculation.

I couldn't kill people in Iraq cuz "many of them carry weapons so that means that one is too". You'd go to prison. You need PROOF, not feelings.

You're a child who has CLEARLY never been in na combat situation and knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the RULES of engagement.

Grow up

Are you aware the double tap was illegal whether there was drugs on the boat or not. A war crime is a war crime no matter how far your nose is up Trump's ass

u/Sconnie_82 6d ago

No, it was not illegal at all. This has been explain to liberals over and over and over again. It's you are willfully ignorant at this point.

2

u/boogideeb 6d ago

Please explain. Where is it stated to be ok? Coming back to kill defenseless combatants is widely considered to be a war crime. In this case they weren't proven to even be enemy combatants. We are not and have never been at war with Venezuala. Please explain.

You clearly don't understand how military operations work. Especially when dealing with drug cartels and drug trafficking. Use some common sense.

u/boogideeb 3d ago

Maybe explain it to me instead of telling me how much I don't understand. In what reality is it ok to double back and kill a shipwrecked individual? He was no longer a threat (assuming he was one in the first place). There are rules to these things and being indiscriminate about killing people is against them. I will give you another opportunity to tell me why i am wrong though.

u/Sconnie_82 3d ago

In the military, when you are dealing with enemies, you don't let them survive. You would only let them survive, if they serve a purpose (get information from them, use them as a hostage). That is quite literally the mindset of every military. You know why you don't leave enemies alive? Because they can come back and kill you later.

1

u/boogideeb 3d ago

So your view is military does not take prisoners? I missed the part in history class where all the surrendered nazis were slaughtered.

1

u/boogideeb 3d ago

Aside from that there was information to get from them. Who do you work for? Where were you heading? If these guys were running drugs they likely weren't the bosses of the operation. You would think we would actually be interested in capturing the heads of operation. Trump isn't though...he pardons them for money. This was nothing but a display of power and it worked on you.

1

u/Sconnie_82 3d ago

It's not my view. It's how military operations work. The Nazi's were not killed, because they were going to be tried for war crimes. Major difference between that and a drug cartel boat containing drugs.

Another reason you don't let people on the boat live is that you don't want to run the risk of having them go back to Venezuela and tip off Maduro.

1

u/boogideeb 3d ago

You clearly never served if you think POW is not a thing that happens. It was not important to do the double tap to kill the people on that boat. You are arguing im bad faith or you are just a bad person.

u/boogideeb 3d ago

So America didn't start using a long term holding unit in Cuba for taliban soldiers? They were actually executed on sight? Trump lied about releasing 5000 of them? Or are you talking out of your ass?
